Default whats too far to drive on a plug BEFORE makin a pass to read them?

I am headed to the track this weekend and driving my car there. Its about a 20 min drive and i would like to change them while its easy and cool (car and air temp) before leaving for track. Will this affect my plug reading? Should i just wait and do it at track? I know not to run after the pass but wondering before

From what I have read you want as little time on them as possible. Most people recommend changing the plugs, towing/rolling/pushing it to the staging lanes and then shutting it off right after your pass. See if you can get someone with a ATV/golf cart to pull you to and from the lanes for a pass.

Too far. Change them when you get there. A pair of gloves and long sleeve shirt and you will be fine with like a 10 min cool down.

In a 240 the plugs are a lot easier to change than an fbody so it wont be that bad. Just supposed to be HOTTTT here saturday in Ms.

We will only drive from the trailor to the lanes(class mandated) we have "warm up" plugs we use to drive it around to warm it up/tech /in and out of the trailor. those are normally our motor plugs in the 9 range. once the car is warm and ready put a fresh set in and drive to the lane and turn it off.
