175 shot ignition issue
The nitrous works in first gear but in second and third, where there is more load, it starts breaking up at about 4500 rpms
I was told this is an ignition issue and that the spark is being blown out. I put new TR6 plugs in and had them gapped down to 20 and the problem did not go away. I ordered plug wires this morning to see if that is the issue. I don't have the funds to buy new coil packs so I hope it is the wires. From what I have read the stock coils can hold up to a lot more horsepower than I am making.
I was thinking about trying a smaller shot but don't want to have to go that route. Has anyone had this problem? Need some help guys.
This is on a 2004 SS Silverado.
I have been a member for a while and usually just search the forum but i am stumped.
1 check your ground wires
2. check your voltage. your altnator could be going out or your batterly low amps will cause a kit to not work properly.
3. Double check the setting on your controler.

IF your not looking at the plugs you have no idea if the tune is right. just saying uyou have a good pump, standalone etc does no0t make the tune correct.
I really suggest you take a step back.
Thanks for all your help nitrous express.
5 lbs of boost and a 175 shot should start off between 10*-12* of timing also. If you are running pump gas in the tank, the stand alone should have 118 octane.
From what I've read, I see major issues coming to a head real fast if you continue on the path you've started.
A healthy stock ignition will handle where you are attempting to go. Fix your tune and install colder plugs and report back with your results.

Mine was a broken engine harness to chassis ground.
Good luck
