Default Spray 75, 150 or 175? Cam only ls1

I am putting in a whole new madman rear suspension, wolfeanti roll shocks, springs, and a 9". Car also has the short Chassis Engineering TQ arm about 1' behind the cross-member.

Runs 11.90's right now on motor @ 113.

I just got a complete NX kit setup with a single shark nozzle just before the TB.

I have an innovate LC1 A/F setup logging into my laptop.

MSD timing twister to pull out a set amount of timing then the nitrous relay are activated.

nitrous system:
NX 15lb bottle
NW warmer
HSW nitrous switch panel and TB mount solenoid bracket
-6 from bottle to under hood
-6 inline nitrous filter -4 out
-4 into Big NX lightning solenoid and -4 out to nozzle
-3 fuel side from factory rail (FP Gauge and FPSS)
- FJO Progressive nitrous controller

The cam is a texas speed .581 .224 .224

What is the max amount you would spray on the car with timing pulled? Is 175 too much?

Its not my main transportation, so I don't mind pushing it a little.

But I'm worried about what my stock fuel system will support, until I get it upgraded.

Should I start with a 75 or 100 and work into a 150 max hit?

With the FJo controller, I can spray it out of the hole at a lower amount, and fade into the full hit. But I also want to be able to race it all weekend without blowing it up.

I was going to make some NA passes first ang log the A/F, then pull timing and spray it and look at the data and spark plugs. THen slowly move into a larger jet.

Thanks

I haven't upgraded the pump, and I don't think the previous owner did either.

Right now its putting down about 360-370RWHP through a A4 4l60e, 10 bolts, and 3000 TCI stall. So maybe 425 at the motor??

Fuel pump and 150.. anything over that you will most likely need injectors.

Well.. looks like I need to add fuel pump to my list before going to race next week.

Now I need to decide what to get.. inline or in-tank I guess...

At least the 9" and 3.90 gears are in the car now.. just finished all that up tonight.

get the racetronix hotwire kit and pick up some stock GTP 36lb injectors. On LS1 fuel pressure they are 41lbers. Same part number as the FAST 42lb fuel injectors.

Im on a stock fuel pump, and on a 150 shot.....Dry at that. Just make sure your ducks are all lined up. Colder plugs, pull some timing, and Hit the Kit.

Talking about these?

GTP factory 36 Lbs. flow fuel injectors. These will fit GM 3.8 / 3800 series III L32 supercharged engines.

The part number is 12574393. These are the blue / gray in color.

About $100 for 8 used injectors.

I would need a new tune if injectors are changed right?

To the OP.
Lets slow this down a bit. Your going way too fast here.
With all due respect to some of the above well intentioned members STOP, and do some research before you spray.
Just a few of the things that worry me...
1. You say you have a shark nozzle mounted right in front of the TB, which is ok if you are running a wet kit. But you follow that up by asking about injectors.
You won't need injectors with a wet kit.
2. You need to upgrade your fuel pump. You may or may not be ok with the 75 shot, but going anything over that is asking alot.
3. I may have missed it, but are you still running the stock plugs?

#1 - Yes, running a NX wet kit. #4 from the nitrous out and #3 from the fuel out

#2 - I'm in the process of upgrading the pump right now. I have a FPSS switch on the fuel rail and set to cut the solenoids off if it drops below 40. Gonna pump this up a little after I make a few passes on the kit.

#3 - Running TR7 plugs and pulling out 6 degrees timing with a MSD timing twister.

Also have a bottle heater and purge.

I didn't rush into this, just wondered how may people spray 150 or so before upgrading the fuel pump.

So to be safe, I'm going to upgrade mine as well.

I will upload some pictures tomorrow when the wiring is finished.

Thanks though.

Yup.. now i think of it, it has been all weekend since friday night. But the whole suspension is done and all the wiring. I spent a lot of time on wiring, and I think the install looks real good.

A few more wires and I will upload some pics tomorrow night.

I ended up putting all the relays, nitrous controller, innovate A/F box, etc under the back seat and hid all the wires. Just have to run everything from the ash tray switch panel to my power blocks and I'm almost done.
