Default How much HP will i leave on the table?

If i run a 125 dry and have my tuner pull the appropriate amount of timing how much HP and throttlr response will i lose while N/a? I know there are tons of ways to pull the timing just while spraying. I just want to know what the loss will be. I'm thinking HP will b down just a little I'm mostly worried about the loss of throttle response. Thanks guys.

IS this a stock tune?

If so you shouldn't need to pull any more then 2-4 so it won't be a big deal. I know with a wet system many guys run a 100 shot with no timing pulled. Some run higher octane fuel as a back up but some just run 93 and are good. Personaly I run 110 when on spray because I have a fairly aggressive tune.

not sure what the current tune is like. I just bought the car. PRC2.5 5.3 heads MS3 cam and a 4k stall. I'm having someone tune it cause the current tune is not very good. Just wondering how big a diff the N/A preformance will suffer with the timing pulled for a 125 shot

The difference between a N/A tune and a Nitrous tune is about 15-20hp depending on the setup and the amount of timing pulled.

yeah , I think before i got my own tuning software the diff was around 20 horse. Now I just load the n20 tune before I want to spray.

You shouldn't be losing any. You should be able to keep the best na tune, and only have the nitrous tune, when you go wot and the switch is activated. You said you are running a dry shot, well that would mean that you would be driving around pretty rich all the time, and to me that would just cause you to foul out plugs. Hope your running a bigger injector as well. Good luck getting everything lined out.

I would look into the HSW interface. That way you could run the best N/A tune and have it pull the right amount of timing for the dry shot.

Almost none of this is true. The concept that a dry nitrous car runs around with all the fuel needed for the nitrous is wrong. If they did that they would not run very well at all. You use a controller to add the fuel when on the spray. That being said most of them pull timing also but that is another conversation.

Well thats what I am running, but im on a 150 shot. My set up is run thru the coolant temp sensor, so my timing and fuel are not effected until I go WOT. That is what I was implying. Not that you were running around rich with timing pulled. This way I get both best of NA, and then I can reach over and Hit the Kit.
