Tuning my new set-up for spray.
Hey guys i just got done going from a Trex cammed ls1 to a 229/236 tsp ls3 cammed 11.1 compression Ls3. We started out on a motor tune with 27 degrees of timing and afr of 12.8. We pulled 6 degrees for a 150 hit and got the afr around 11.6-8. The spray didn't hit very hard so we put 25 degrees on timing in it and it hits very hard now. My question is why does it feel and run soft pulling 2 degrees for every 50hp jet i add to it? Will it live only pulling 2 degrees from my base tune?

Thats what i am thinking. The plugs are a clean brown two tuners said they look good and a tid rich. Why when i pulled the 6 degrees out was it a pig? On my old set-up liked 6 degrees pulled making it 23 degrees of total timing lasted 5 years and i sold it still running.

Do this, make a WOT pull with a fresh set of plugs. Kill the car after the pull (zero idle) then coast to a stop then pull the plugs. Cut the threads off at the base then take pics of the ground straps and the porcelain and let us see what you have. This will tell the story...
