Sorry I have not been on for a while! Most of the answers to all your questions are in this thread that I have had going for a while. As far as weight reduction all parts added are mild steel and then I removed all stock seats and added a Kirkey seat and finally got around to changing out the stock carpet for light weight carpet and left out the console. The car weighs in at 3,315 lbs. on race day!

Nice running car for sure man.. I think you just helped me decide to put the gas on the car. I am building my new motor for the gas but decided not to put it on. But you have just changed my mind.. lol I am hoping for really low 10's on the motor LS2 402ci and to be in the 9's on the gas. Motor is being built to handle 1200hp so I should be good slapping on a 200hp shot on it..

We went to Darlington, SC on Saturday 2/12/11 and had a blast! Car ran its best ever NA run of 10.47 ET at 127.19 MPH on its fifth run of the day. I then put the nitrous bottle in it and changed the tune. I had also installed a FJO controller that I was looking forward to playing with. I Locked down the front end and went up for a pass and came away with this video! Let me say right off that it was no fun and actually happened before I could even react!

When the car came down it did not seem to land very hard and was still going straight so since I was on the gas as it was coming down I stayed in it and ran a 10.18 ET at 132.39 MPH! I went back to my pit and checked everything over. Marked the back bumper, front bumper and scraped the headers just a little bit. Everything looked OK so I went out and made another NA pass just to see how the car ran and it ran a 1.41 60' foot with a 10.63 ET at 125.24 MPH with the front end locked down so it seems to be OK.

It was a ride for sure. I will spend the money needed to make sure that never happens again!

Thanks Carter01 based on the way the car seemed to not want to come down at all I am sure it would have stayed up longer. It happened so fast it actually surprised me big time!
