Read this article.
http://www.ngksparkplugs.com/docs/te...de_Affects.pdf
My black car went a best of 10.00 on the 100 shot with 6's. I found this from NGK saying to go one heat range colder for every additional 75hp of spray. With the only change being made, I put in the br7ef. My 100 shot went a new best of 9.89 in the quarter.
tr6 are good up to 75hp shot
br7ef are good up to a 150 shot

So br6 or br7 is what you guys with 100 shots should be using.

I actually originally learned that from you guys. Then found the article. Our local supposed ls expert is the one that swore tr6's were ok up to a 150 shot. Then wanted to argue with me when I told him he needed to go check again. That's why he's never and will never touch my cars.

500 years ago people thought the world was flat.
10 years ago people thought a rich nitrous tune was safe.
2 years ago people thought TR6's were ok to use with nitrous.
Imagine what you will know tomorrow.

AGAIN ....My uncles cousins sisters fathers brother sprayed a 500 shot on tr6's all the time with no problem so they must be ok.
Not a bandwagon thing at all its evolution.

Then why are we not hearing of people hurting their engines on tr6 plugs with smaller shots?
28 bottles of nitrous threw my car, 71,000 miles, and everytime I swap my plugs, they still look like they could go another 5,000 miles.
You guy's having nothing to back your claims other then heresay.
If your tune is on you ARE NOT going to do any damage whatsoever, [ including excess wear and tear ] to your engine on smaller shots.
If your burning a ground stap on a 100 shot with tr6 plugs, something is off in your setup.

I am not trying to start an argument. But its not like the correct plug cost more money, why try to make something work when the correct part is just as easy to get and safer?

The difference is the people doing it right go alot fast than 11.65 @ 118 with a cam only nitrous car.
If I put the right plugs and correct tune in your car it would go 1/2 second faster and NOT HURT ANY PARTS.... lets see you do the same with TR6's.
Seems to me the only dummies that want to argue this fact is the ones who have TR6's and dont want to change them. Who do you think has a better understanding of nitrous, spark plugs and what a nitrous engine wants a guy who sprays a 75 shot or Mike Thermos? Google that name.
It is hard sometimes to try and come in here and help people.

Simple, its hard to hurt a LS1 with a 75 shot no matter how BAD the tune is.
