Miles mean nothing. A good strong running motor will love the nitrous. I had 230,000 miles when I sprayed my 6.0. Many guys with LS1s have sprayed at 150,000-200,000 without any issues.

.
Added power will find the weakest link.
As mentioned, if the motor is in good shape you will be fine, if you have any issues, the N2O will find it.

Like stated before miles mean nothing on a LS1. If it's smooth and strong you prolly have no worries. Just and example of recent and personal witness, my buddy bought a 99 SS from my long friend and High School buddy. The car had 169,000 miles. I personally installed a Plate kit with 125 shot. It ran probably 10 thousand miles with that set up. Mind you my old high school buddy is senseless when it comes to RPM and two pushrods were bent we found out later on a cam install. The car still ran perfect and did not show any signs of excessive wear. But my point is 189,000 miles now and we are going to a 150 shot in the SS. Now we have done headers, cam and valve train, timing chain and oil pump. So in conclusion I would at least pull the push rods and give em a check. If it has been yours since new and you are comfortable with it go ahead. A lot of guys are over 200,000 and still running a stock long block with up to 150 shots " that I have seen and heard". Considering the car hasn't been just beat to death and the oil has been changed properly you should be fine. Just start out with something like a 50 shot like we did just for the first couple of pulls and then you can start upping the shot. His car hasn't skipped a beat since the day he bought it.

Sorry forgot you said you just recently bought it. But my statements still hold. Just get with a friend one day and just check the push rods. If not, whatever you do mind your RPM limits, pull timing 2 degrees per every 50HP of Nitrous shot and get a window switch. I have the ( Timing Tuner ) it's made by Full Throttle and is sold by Daves nitrous outlet. It has the window and timing feature you need. It's simple and the guys there can provide tech. Support to an unparalleled level. Walk you through the complete programimg process. There are many manufactures of many different options. I just deal with them cause every time I call I get the same voice at the end of the line with all the info you will ever need to get through an install. Over the years I have not had one complaint. We did a Harris set up on the 99 SS and have regretted that decision from day one. I will never deal with anyone else. PERIOD!

My buddy's car with 190,000 ran better after a year of spray lol. A 100shot is nothing on these cars,i wouldn't worry about it,if its still running strong it should be fine,it wouldn't hurt to check a few things out though,my buddy always told me a compression test was a good idea on higher mileage motors before spraying.he knows alot more about spray than i do,i just go by if the motor is solid it will be fine lol
