Im thinkin 200 shot
Im taking my car friday to have it tuned for nitrous. The car is cam only with all bolt ons. The nitrous kit is a 78mm nitrous outlet plate. It has stock 28 pound injectors and a 255 walbor pump. I also got the br7ef plugs. I was gonna run the 150 shot but there are alot of guys with about the same setup running alot bigger shots. The thought had crossed my mind to run the 200. Wanted to get some input on it and if so will so much timing have to be pulled for the 200 shot that it will run like a dog on motor?

I can tell you running even a 125 shot on motor it runs terrible so 200 would be disaster. I would hit up Frost to get the Black Box so when you flip the switch on for nitrous it will change over to nitrous tune and then when you turn the switch off it will go to max N/A tune so you have the best of both worlds. I dont know if he is out of stock or not but if your interested in something like that i would hit him up. Its just another option.

For a 200hp shot you at least need to be taking a minimum of 8* and could take out up to 10* of timing before your done. I'd look at it like newhere from 8-10* retard for the 200hp shot. The car will run like complete N/A with that much timing removed.

I use the micro edge and Interface to pull timing only when the spray is active, The tuner setup my table and we logged runs with no fuel or spray to verify that the correct timing was pulled, Then we let her eat!!!

Well i went to the dyno yesterday it put down 491hp 596tq on the 150 with the clutch slipping. The stage 3 monster clutch didnt like that 596tq at all. It really dont run any different na with the timing being pulled out. Ill get the clutch deal figured out and then ill be ready for a track trip. My goal is 6.90s at about 100 we'll see what happens.

So your running around with shitty tune because u didn't want to take five minutes to do the iat mod. Pretty half fast. Btw that monster clutch should have no problem holding that power

If it ran like **** i would consider it but it dont run any different to me on the street. Ill get to the track and see too. And btw the the stage 3 monster clutch is rated at 700 ftlbs of tq and if u figure 20 percent loss through the drivetrain is makin around 715 so its at its upper limit.

I was with him at the dyno so I seen it, I dont have to "believe it". The clutch is only a couple of months old an not worn out at all. Rode in the car before an after the tune an there is nothing half fast about it either. The whole iat mod seams like a cheep band-aid to me.

Well I would bet the disk is contaminated so be prepared to diagnose that unless u didn't install it right/clean. Iat mod is a bandaid..right ok. Drive around with your six less degrees advance buddy, and tell me thats not half fast bullshit.

But anyway, I would suggest a timing controller or IAT but its not required.

Im gonna get it to the track and see how its running on the nitrous tune compared to the na tune. If im not happy with it Im gonna look at gettin the linenfelter lnc-002 i like it with the 2 step and all. Im just ready to spray its guts out at the track.
