LS1Tech POLL: How Often Do You Spray? For you people that go to the track, I'm sure you spray alot, but for the people who also use their cars as daily drivers, how often do you spray in a day/week/month etc?
I'm just curious as to how many times the engine can hold up to the abuse of nitrous. I'm CONSIDERING getting a kit this summer, and running probably a 100 shot from the NOS 5177 dry kit. I'd mostly use it for the track, but would use it occasionally on the streets. I would probably be very conservative, because I'd be afraid I'd tear the car up.

Re: LS1Tech POLL: How Often Do You Spray? Weekly doses of TNT 150 or 100 shot. I usually run through one 10 pound bottle every two weeks. My car is my primary transportation. 70,000 miles.

6k miles on car and over 15 10lb bottles.

Re: LS1Tech POLL: How Often Do You Spray? I go thru a 15 lb bottle roughly every 6 weeks or so. I'm on my 3rd bottle since installation .I started with a 75 shot ,then went to 85 ,then 100,now 125 . It's kind of addictive . 2 years from now I can picture myself with a 422 cu. in. blower car w/ a 200 shot if my rate of power needs don't slow down ! <img src="graemlins/gr_devil.gif" border="0" alt="[devil]" />

My local refill station keeps an ccount for me and las time I checked my consumption was about 3000 lbs.

$4/lb???? Holy Crap...someone is making a killing on nitrous+. I haven't paid more than $2.00/lb for well over 3 years and before that only paid $2.75/lb from NOS direct (when they were in Costa Mesa, CA.) The shop that sells to me keeps a 60lb bottle in the back with my name on it and they still make money at $2/lb.

I'd turn it on in the morning on the way to work, and then off when I parked it at night. I'd spray anything, I used to make trips during lunch to get N20.
This of course is why the car is not turbo charged, I would have spend the same amount of money anyways.
