We have run VP110, and are now running VP C14.
Base timing at 28*, pulling 10* as soon as the nitrous turns on. We are 82/42 now with 9psi on the nitrous side. NGK 10's.. And next time out, we are going to put some timing back in the engine I still think it wants more.

we run Sunoco 104 unleaded and NGK 8's, I haven't seen enough heat in the 8's in order to make the change. I probably should though. We ran pretty much that timing (19) and 82 40-41 on our old plate setup

We haven't had a lot of heat either, we started with 9's. What I like about the 10's is they seem to make all the plugs much more consistent. And we probably could stick with VP110, but I'm a dealer for VP and this C14 stuff is pretty killer for a standard leaded fuel.

What about running a wire from pin 87a (normally open) on my nitrous relay to pin 30 on a new separate relay, 85 to ground, 86 to my transbrake button, and 87 to my trans brake solenoid? Wouldn't that keep the nitrous from spraying on the trans brake?

Pin 87 (normally closed) on my nitrous relay currently goes to my solenoids.

Thanks for the kind words, it was hot as hell and I guess I did manage a 1.30 60' on a 275 radial in 92* and 130* track temps.

No problem, and I run what Whitey said, Sunoco 110. It leaves a yellow hue/fuel ring when burned. I can see a faint yellow line at the bottom of the porcelain, nothing tremendous, but I can see it against the stark white of the rest of the plug.

16 total on 93 with those jets doesn't sound far off but monitor the plugs all the same whenever possible. I will be adding 2* back into mine and then read the plugs to see where and how far it moves the heat down the strap. That will put me at a total of 19*.

When I asked you about a month ago what fuel jet you ran with the 82n jet that's what I was basing my tune-up off of. That's why I had 12* pulled to be extra low on timing because I knew it would be lean but lean like we like it. Bottle pressure gauge issue then became apparent, and then after my last outing this weekend I realize that it's a 46 jet this whole time! I need glasses

Next smallest jet I have that I could use is a 38 so I was going to put a 78 in the nitrous side with the 38f or I have a 36 and a 35 also. I really want to leave the 46f in and get a 88n or 93n jet locally along with a 40 to use with the 82n and a 99n for my 50f jet I have.

That's why I asked ATV in that guess how many nitrous pills in the jar thread when he made the comment he could fill one up too for some jets on the low. 5 bucks a jet sucks!

Just buy the jets (Dave, hook the man up!) , you will be happy you did. I have from 30-47 for both stages. It's well worth it. Although I feel your pain, I need a 62 at a race and somehow lost the 3 I had? Ended up paying 8 bucks for another one there. Sucked!

F body, im at the track right now and i cant get the car to 60' better than a 1.55 im getting really frustrated. I tried loosening the front all the way and it doesnt seem to help. The is a pretty big hesitation off the line before the nitrous kicks in. I cant figure it out! Theres no air in the line and my bottle pressure is at 950 psi. Any ideas man??

Set your window switch at 3000 and bring the rpms to 1500-1800 and stop the pedal to the floor

This, and when you pull up to the line, light the first light, wait for the other guy in the other lane (if you're running someone else) to pull in and at least light his first light.

When he does that or if you're racing by yourself purge your nitrous 2 or 3 quick times before you pull in to light the second staging light.

This is what I do when I remember

If the car isn't spinning and it's just hesitating there is air in the line or you don't have the window switch set-up right.

Do you have the tach output settings/how many cylinders you have on the window switch set at 004 or 1? What window switch are you using?
