Default WOT switches....YES/NO?

Had a mishap with a member down here. He somehow got the WOT switch on his NOS system in his LT1 hung up. <img border="0" title="" alt="[Sad]" src="gr_sad.gif" /> Well the guy shut off the motor so it wouldn't blow on him. Needless to say, when he shut the motor off he locked the steering wheel and ended up in a ditch basically totalling his car. <img border="0" alt="[whiner]" title="" src="graemlins/gr_cry.gif" /> It was a matter of seconds so I'm not going to try and do the Lazyboy chair quarterbacking of why he didn't do this or that.

My question is this though. How good are these WOT switches? Or should we be using something just like a manual switch near the steering wheel or near the shifter. <img border="0" title="" alt="[Confused]" src="images/icons/confused.gif" /> Whats the pros and cons to both. I personally run the WOT switch on my NX system so to change to TNT. I've been able to bend the tab slightly on the WOT switch so that it would turn on slightly sooner than WOT. <img border="0" title="" alt="[Eek!]" src="gr_eek2.gif" /> I mean for us HP junkies whose to say that most folks don't do something similar to what I described.

I haven't had any prob's with the WOT switch,but I could see it sticking or anything can go wrong.Thats why you should put your arming switch were it is easilly accessable.In case you have to shut down.

If the switch is hooked up right it can't get stuck on. He might have had end of the WOT switch set up so that it got hung on the cam (from the fuel throttle). You want to make sure that the long medal part of the WOT switch goes cross ways to the fuel throttle cam. Moreover; make sure that just less than half of the of the long medal part goes past the cam. When the cam is at WOT the medal piece should be almost at the halfway point (left to right) of the cam. In other words there is no way that the WOT switch can get caught up on the fuel cam.

Ouch <img border="0" title="" alt="[Sad]" src="gr_sad.gif" /> thats not good.

I reccomend that you use a wot and ARM switch in series.

That way you can just hit the arm switch off, and the system will stop spraying.

I sell, and reccomend the aircraft covers for the ease of disarming the system (and they look cool)

an electronic switch would prevent this from happening, however, i have had no luck getting info on how to build one, and im not going to pay $100 for a 4.3v turn on switch.

Here's a off the wall idea, but somebody might like it..... What do you all think of this, have a brake light switch, so when the brakelights are on, the N20 is killed?

Would be easy to wire, the switch is already there, just tap, and add a NC relay.

ive already thought of the clutch switch for the stangs, as they have 2 one when presses in all the way, and one when all the way out. (crusise control disable)

Im not familiar with the f-body clutch switches, but im sure its similar.
