And we broke it. Pics to come later.

1.359 5.870 117 broke at laid over at 5.1, backfired and blew off the lid and the hood

That's all we got folks. Time to build a bigger badder setup

Thats all bad. It might not have hurt anything down low. Hopefully just an intake.

Really? ate plugs? The way these guys talk I'm the Only one that kinda stuff happens to?

Were you keeping track of compression? Was it slowly on the way out? Or did it just finally give? Or did you decide to get a little crazy?

I got greedy and if youre not on top of your game with how much nitrous we have in this motor it will do this. I messed up and didnt take timing out of it and it got me. Just messed up.

Probably had a little too hot of plug in it too. Oh well. It stayed together for over 3 years with no hiccups. My oops got me this time

Sorry to hear that cam, when you try and push the envelope this is what happens I guess.

For reference what plugs did you have in it and were you still running 104 sunoco? Never mind just looked at the plug and saw it was a B8EFS. I'm going to run the gasket seat -10's in mine on the big tune-up and hope it doesn't puke its guts on the track. Got everything in but the damn fuel cell now just need it to go in and I'm racing again.

I wonder if C16 and a colder plug would of prevented it. What kind of timing did you have in it?

Im sure it would of. I just got a little too comfortable with the tuneup and missed it. Stuff happens and I learned a lesson. Kept it together for 3+ years in all kinds of weather conditions so it did its job, but dammit there was a mid 70 in that baby at 3200 lbs

I bet it also had to do with the better air you had yesterday.

Well I know what I need to do know to make that .80 pass myself!

How about that blue RX-7 going 8's?

I usually take 2 degrees out when I get to this better air but didn't. Oops. And I saw that 8 second one. Pretty damn awesome

It was gonna happen sooner than later, I wish it was later though. Haha. We have couple options were exploring right now. Looking for another shortblock, put pistons and go through this one, or put together a piston and rods 402/408 real quick to make Vegas. It will depend on cost and time
