Well i wish i had a bunch of updates to post about but this weather and my work schedule have been kickin my @ss. I am in the process of painting the cage firewall and front end. I did however get a chance to drop the motor off to steve @ Legend Racing to crack it open and check things out. He went thru it and did leak down on all cylinders and theyre within 5-8%. Bearings valves n springs look good. Hes currently working on the cylinder heads trying out their new chamber softening and port cleaning program, as well as swapping out the trunions to comp upgrade on the factory rockers so i can zing this baby motor to the moon. If all goes well this weekend ill have more updates and pics to follow.

Not sure if anyone's still following this but here's a few pictures as promised.
next on deck is wiring, carpet, trim windshield... yada yada
good news is Steve at Legend Racing got the motor all buttoned up, and ready to rock.
check back soon, its thrash time!

The 9.19 pass was far from perfect, just given the change in weight, and hoping to decrease the 60 from the lackluster 1.3x to a real low 1.20.. And clean gear changes, i'd like to see it go 8.8Xs without much change to the tune up.
Brian, there is another phase of suspension changes coming.. It wasn't worth spending the money to change it now.

4banger, i just couldnt see spending another 500 +/- to ditch the factory rack just yet when its only a few pounds and my rack is looped and hasnt given me any issues to date. eventually when i do a set of MAN headers and motor plate i'll probably swap it out.

Just finished the chamber softening on Nicks heads finally.. Hand lapped all the valves back in and checked all the springs. Found something kinda interesting with the spark plugs today, with a 5/8" reach plug they were not far enough into the chamber. So we are going to take care of that problem, and index them as it goes back together.
