Another SBE LS1 on 200-250hp n2o timing?
Putting together my first LS1, it's SBE with rod bolts, TSP 233/239 598/600 112ls cam. Ported stock castings with Brian Tooleys 660 lift spring kit, LS6 oilpump, Ls2 timing chain, LS6 Intake, ported stock T.B, SD tune, 1-7/8" headers, 3" true duals, Th400/ 4k PI converter, Fab 9" rear, 3.73's, 275'sRadials, 3100lb raceweight. The car is a 95 Transam that ran 9.80's with my old LT1 on n20 so I'm hoping to run 9.50's or quicker with this setup. I'm going to start with Br7's and 6 degrees of timing pulled and just going to add n20, pull timing and fuel until I get the plugs looking good. What do you guys think of this setup and do I need a stand alone fuel system? I plan on running whatever fuel is needed for the amount of n20 being used. I am going to run dual 255 fuel pumps and alky injection for safety.

6deg not enough for that shot. These motors are completely different than the old small blocks. Pull 2* per 25hp on these and work your way back up...
You'll need an 8 or 9 plug at least with good gas too

Really depends on where your NA timing comes to. I was pulling 12.5-13 on a 175 in my car. That ended up at 16.5* after it was pulled from my NA timing. Had a nice clear timing mark and I was on C16.

Yeah we'll that makes sense b/c your total timing was almost 30degrees. I was thinking like 26 degrees On motor then pulling it down to 20degrees to start tuning on 150hp. But the last thing I want to do is have any detonation on these factory pistons so I'll probably start at 17-18degrees. Thanks
