Default Launching on Nitrous with Manual Transmission

I am trying to find out a consistent, safe, and effective way to launch my car on nitrous. I was thinking of using a two step that would activate the nitrous when two step deactivates(using clutch signal). Do they make a two step that would do this? Is there a better way of going about this? I also have a MSD Window Switch and FJO Mini Progressor I can use from previous builds if needed. Here is a quick run down of the vehicle:

1999 Camaro LS-1/T-56
~400rwhp N/A and 550rwhp on N20
-Moser 9" with 4.30 Gears
-Twin Disc Clutch
-27 or 28" Hoosier QTPs
-Full Weight

Thanks

As a Nitrous Noob and piggybacking off the OP, why not just hold idle with the pedal and have the nitrous engage when you go WOT? Is that bad? Should there be some delay before engaging the nitrous?

I always used my FJO to turn down the percentage in ramp in back in. Or lock out first altogether. You can even use the time feature and ramp the nitrous in based on seconds after the kit is activated.

My brother's car has the NOS controller on it and has some of the same functions.

It seems like the guys at Nitro dave's hooked me up with a wiring diagram to hook up my FJO and my LNC-002 back in the day. You may want to talk to the guys that make your kit and see what they say.

on my 96 i had it hooked up with a dual relay system so that when the nitrous was armed and i pressed the button for my two step it would deactivate the nitrous until released ... this way i could stage foot to the floor on the two step inside my window switch rpm range

WOT switch on my friends car with a 200 shot. Spraying the full shot on the hit, even on a 26X9 hoosier.

TPS switch, window and 2 step interrupt here.

Sprays @ wot in the window when the 2 step isn't engaged.

So as soon as the clutch is out or the 2 step button is release it's on.

If you use the FJO controller there is a second input that you can use to disable the nitrous system. I run 12v through the clutch switch (so there is 12v when the pedal is depressed) and this goes to the FJO as a disable input and to my LNC 2-Step as activation.

I'm not sure if theystill sell them but I have a timing tuner that I can set a delay on so your not spraying out of the hole but does activate in first gear.

Traction should be the biggest problem when spraying out of the hole with your setup. A WOT switch and a window switch are essential but there is no need for more fancy control with only a 150 shot. My setup was similar to yours except my 26-inch rears were too small – I couldn’t launch as hard as I wanted and I ran out of gear on top. I intended to try 27 or 28-inch tires but got sideways, hit the wall, and wrecked the car.

Check out the LNC2000. It can act as a two step, retard, and I believe window at same time. A progressive on the 6spd is gold.
