Hey guys I ran a 100 shot dry kit on my 98 T/A for the first time last night. It sucked I on ran 3 and 4 miles an hour faster. It only drop my car like 4 tens in the 1/8.It went from a 8.40 to a 8.08. I thuoght it would do better than that.Only one more thing to say WET KIT!!!!!!!! what do yall think?

Are you positive that it is truly giving you 100HP... dyno numbers... what brand kit... traction issues? I can think of a dozen reasons why you only ran another 4 tenths that you haven't listed.

Wet kit....dry kit...blah blah blah . Id say its more related to setup than differences in wet or dry. My dry hits plenty hard...my wet kit hits plenty hard. 950 is not enough pressure for the dry. If you dont have a bottle heater get one and get pressure to 1050-1150. Then spray...youll see the HP. Id say people think a wet gives more power because they generally run at 900-950 which is easily acheived at normal ambient temps. So the wet kit probably tends to run right due to correct flow of nitrous through the jets as per manufacturer at that PSI. The dry kits for LS1s like a lil more pressure. Besides...if its setup right, AF ratio is correct...what ever HP comes out is basically what your spraying. I dont like general manufacturers HP ratings. To me they mean nothing except a general starting point.
PS...when my car is setup to run dry only..the 200 shot nets approx 200 hp with bottle pressure at 1150 psi. With bottle presure at 975 it was approx 145-150 same pills just lower psi. Thats a 25% drop in HP. This was done on a dyno.

with my NOS 5117, dual nozzle 100 shot i went from 8.30 at 83.5 mph ,to 7.41 at 92.5 mph in the 1/8 with no other changes.
my dry 100 shot kicks like a mule!!
get your pressure up to 1050 lbs and try again.

johnster, are you spraying your single nozzle straight at the mass air or away from. if its straight at it,i heard that it can possibly freeze the wires and run pig rich. turn the nozzle around if thats the case, and retry. just an idea.Good luck.
and i spray right out of the hole, probably should wait till 2500 or more.but,i don't.

johnster, for what it's worth , you should keep the bottle pressure below 1100 psi or it will turn from nice liquid form into a gas and give you less of a gain. i was told that by a friend that sprays his GTO and runs (7's),so i trust him. I hope you get teh times your looking for ,
goodluck. Oh by the way with your 98 i would not worry about uppin the jet to .055 and sprayin
a 125 shot.A friend from my our car club hsa a 98 SS and sprays all the time with 150 jet,on the dyno he was still very safe on the 125 jet(his car). With your 98 and bigger injectors i would think your plenty good.
