Default nitrous and n/a timing 110 octane

hey guys i have a question. im running a 6.0, 241 heads milled and ported, ms3 cam, ls7 lifters, victor jr efi, lo pro elbow, stock ported tb, and the rest of the supporting mods. im looking to see the most timing i can run with this octane N/A and nitrous? im running 24 degrees for 150 shot and N/A 110 octane for now. i want to push the car as far as i can in N/A timing and the back it out for the nitrous.

THANKS IN ADVANCED

Im running an lq4, milled and ported 243, 234/246 cam, and edelbrock pro flo intake. 31 degree timing on motor, 24 on 100 shot, and 22 on 150 on 93 pump gas

so im guessing with my higher octane ill be able to run higher timing making some more power. i have seen in the search iv done anything over 34 is a waist. im looking to run some aggressive timing to get the most i can out of my set up and octane.

my brother tune is @ 28 n/a and we pull 4 out for the 125 hit ...

My suggestion for you would be to run the 110 octane so you can run more timing and make more power. Then, buy something like the LNC 2000 or MSD Timing Twister to pull timing for when you spray. You are right about 110 octane allowing you to run more timing, thus making more power.

i thought i was right. my tuner was telling me he doesn't see the point on running anything passed 28 degrees. on muscle and am looking around and im seeing people running 30 34 even 40 degrees so im like what should i do?

+1
Get dialed NA then kick the timing back with LNC-2000.

that's is more or less what i think ill end up at. i had a talk with my tuner and we will dyno the car next to see how much timing the car is asking for. then we will go from there...

I personally would never run a nitrous setup unless I had something to pull timing. Your leaving a ton of HP/TQ on the table during 95% of the time you drive the car.

Well in that case, I can see why you wouldn't want to spend that kind of coin on the LNC-2000. I shouldn't have generalized my prior statement without knowing how/when you drive the car. My bad man.

its alright man i still want to get it. im looking for something with 2step and timing retard that i can wire up with my digital msd window. that way ill be done and i can drive the car more often and enjoy the power off the bottle. it its nice to win races without the nitrous too!! lol...

I believe there is a device called "The Timing Tuner" that pulls timing and acts as a 2 step. I did some research on it a while back. Pretty nice device that does multiple things.

Man honestly I haven't heard that. The LNC-2000 doesn't have anything to do with A/F ratio.

I have the LNC-2000 it works perfectly. I have it hooked to my HPtuners so I can see it pulling the timing also. It's a nice unit.

You seem to be thinking: “Higher octane allows more timing which makes more power”. This idea is not correct.

Quick Reply: nitrous and n/a timing 110 octane
