My friend said as long as you go colder than stock, ther good. I dont like the idea of cramming my meat beater inbetween all the EGR sh*t every time I wanna change out some TR6's cause they dont last. Let me hear ya. TIA.

Don't get me wrong guys, I am not trying to discredit anyone, rather gain knowledge. A few of my friends run TR6 plugs, some change out @ 12,000 miles or so, others only spray once in while and go longer. I read the Colonel reply about increasing gap to i believe . 035 w/ tr6 so you dont loose any power off the spray. But I would like to know if anyone has success running iridium plugs, whether they "lost" power off the spray due to colder plug, and how long they used the same set of plugs. I would like to be able to put iridiums in, run them daily and spray week-endly and not have to change the bastards out every 6/8 or 10 months. No way in hell would I go through the BS to change plugs out Friday after work and back Sunday just to spray on the week-end, not for this kid. Maybe if I had headers and EGR, Air delete, but with all that shant I'm looking at changing as little as safely possible. TIA.

When my perctionistic *** can make my mind on exactly which headers and which exhaust, I will buy them. As for the plugs, yeah, did some more research and will try to pick some up and throw them in friday, i get off work early. TR6's, seeing how I think I can get the plugs changed in 2 hours or less, yes on the first time. I might go get a quote from Robert in kailua on my exhaust system, flat pipe like the Bobby Lee's (?). I will be ordering Nitt's friday, wish someone on island carried the right size. Hey, I got a really small surging going on when in gear at idle, but not in neutral or park at idle. It did this a couple times when the EGR was leaking, but more of a pronounced surge. Now, it is very slight, just enough to get the sh*tty factory tach to swing from like 490-540rpms. No SES. What do you think. Thanks Rex.
I still dont know anyone using them with nitrous. However the turbo cars are having great luck with them. If I had to guess I would say yes they could be used with nitrous. Will they give better performance? I have no idea. Will they hold up longer than copper...again...no clue. As soon as the motor is back together im gonna give some a shot and see if they hold up to a decent size shot.

You can use iridium spark plugs with a nitrous application. They are actaully recommended to use with any power adder (i.e. turbo, supercharger). The reason being is they can withstand higher cylinder temps and higher cylinder pressure for instance Iridium is 6 times harder, 8 times stronger, and has a melting point 1200 degrees higher than platinum.

Which iridiums are recommended by those that use them with N2O? I thought that iridium sounded about right, but then until last year I thought platinums where the best for the same reasons, longer life and wear resistance than copper etc...TIA.

Car's run so much better on a hot plug n/a, Now don't quote me on the hp's but if your running a nitrous set up with cold plugs then your straight but running the same plugs n/a your going to lose hp's across the board... <img border="0" title="" alt="[Wink]" src="gr_images/icons/wink.gif" />

REX, what was your 60' on the "street" tire pass? I'm real close to yours, mines in the sig, plus your street tires are much more aggressive than mine. Seeings how I have the A4 I am about maxed out at 13.2, unless I get a good 60'. Now you have the M6, so you got quite a bit left in her, plus you realllllllllly NEED to tune her, she'll thank you for it. Ok, I didnt get to hear Bobby's car at WOT, so you may have a point. This is why I am undecided as of now. My alternate plan includes Hooker LT's, ORY, feeding stock exhaust with my cutout and changing my tips tot he SLP Quad tip, Possibly having Robert put in a bullet and then make a Y for the rear exiting into the quads. I can handle near silence on the street, then the beutifully crisp sound of the cutout (BTW my neighbors noticed the cutout at like 2 in the morning-early day of work ooops.) Whats up w/ your belt tensioner-obviously going bad huh? Any idea on the surging problem-read up a post or check external category???? hit me back. Charlie.
My car is a turd, but I have never seen a large noticeable difference on the dyno when switching from a hot to a cold plug for my NA dyno's.
This may be offset by the mild KR I get though with the hotter plugs.....
Just my .02

I dyno'd my car with TR-6 and TR-55, the TR-6 lost 6rwhp. With the MAFT I leaned the car out 2 percent at WOT and got the 6rwhp back.
My gas mileage dropped with the TR-6, about 3 mpg less.
New TR-55's went back in,
