Re: NX Direct Port Install Update
They come installed into the nozzles from NX with some kind of sealant. I already broke off an easy out in there. I dropped it off at lunch at my local machine shop to see if they can remove it. If not, I guess I'll be buying a new nozzle

Re: NX Direct Port Install Update
Thanks for the compliments guys. This is a lot of work. More work than it was to install my turbo kit for sure. Mainly because everything has to be fabricated.
The broken nozzle could not be fixed, so I had to order a new one from Nitro Dave, but things are coming along!

Re: NX Direct Port Install Update
links didn't work for me. Perhaps they were:

Also, If one were to fab up a direct port setup on a composite intake, would it still be the same process in setting up the nozzles? Drill, tap, then seal with teflon paste?

Re: NX Direct Port Install Update
Todd, do the NX nozzles come with those installed? If yes, Im assuming this happened when you were installing the line from the main rail to the nozzle. Just a faulty part
Nice work

Re: NX Direct Port Install Update
Todd,
I have the NX 80000-EFI kit I am installing on my LT1. I am using the distribution block at this point, but I have a question for you.
The EFI kit is designed for 40psi of fuel pressure and you are using a Holley Pump rated at much lower psi. Are you changing the jetting on the fuel side? If so, would you mind sharing the jetting? Did you call NX and just get the carb/low pressure fuel jettings?
Thanks,
Dave

Re: NX Direct Port Install Update
Actually that is a common failure, and stems from not using a 3/8" wrench on the fitting in the nozzle when taking the B-Nut or fitting on and off the nozzle. Relatively inexpensive part, (Under $10) though that one looks like its gonna be fun to remove.
I've removed my share of broken nozzle fittings.

Re: NX Direct Port Install Update
xaon...thanks....I was pretty tired when I posted last night.
Dave....I called NX after talking with Sean Barnes (BadHabitBird). Sean runs the same setup at 9psi FP.
I have the revised jetting at home and will post it later today for you.

Re: NX Direct Port Install Update
Thanks,
I would appreciate it, I am almost definitely switching to a low-pressure setup myself. I had just got a pretty good deal on the EFI kit to begin with.

Re: NX Direct Port Install Update
Todd, in that first picture of all the kit in the packages, does that direct port kit come with a big single distibution block? Im supposing you arent using this because you have the rails right? Can you possibly send me a picture of that block?
Thanks.
Kyle
Thanks.
