Default TNT or NOS??

I'm going to play around with nitrous until my new motor is built. I'm looking at 2 kits. The NOS dry kit and the TNT wet kit. I plan on running a 125hp shot to stay safe. I have a couple of buddies that run the NOS kit and they do very well with it. I haven't been in a car with the wet kit. Is there that much of a difference between wet and dry? Please post your experiences.

Alll i can say is that my tnt hits hard and tnt kits are rated at rear wheels and usually from a 100 shot you get about 125 hp to the wheels and 170ft/lbs of torque

Damn 125hp on a 100 shot. That sounds good. I've heard that wet hits harder than dry but i didn't know if it did anything for performance. I ran a new best of 11.79 at 115mph in a full weight WS6 A4 with stock gears. I don't see why 10's aren't in my future with nitrous. As long as my tranny stays in one piece.

I have a lt1 with mods in sig na I trap 114 and with the juice not hitting it til 3rd gear I ran 122mph and spun the whole time hence 12.75@122mph lol that was on a 100 shot so with some tires and a new rear that will take it 10.9-11.2 should be obtainable...hey I could always just jet a 125 or 150...also wet kits are safer they dont depend on your injectors to do all the work for fuel.

I ran a NOS 5177 all last year and converted to the TNT power ring set up this spring. I am much happier with the TNT set up. My car ran lean on a dry 125 so I had to add alot of fuel to my N/A tune. With the TNT (or any other wet kit) you can tune it by jetting the fuel at the nozzle. Also, I can say that TNT has great customer service/tech department, I would highly reccomend doing business with them.

Yeah i like the idea of the nitrous kit doing the fueling instead of the injectors.
Is there a problem with unburnt fuel puddling in the bottom of the intake with the wet kit? I can see that being a fire hazzard if the engine backfires.

i never had that problem except when one time i did activate the dope at 2300 rpms. blamo..nitrous backfire. i think once you are above 3000 rpm, the incoming air is moving fast enough to push the nitrous/fuel mixture through the intake. you can always go with direct port, much safer.

TNT is way better than the NOS kit and wet kits or direct port are the way to go. Stay away from the dry kits.

Looks like i'll call Thunder on monday and order a TNT F1 kit. Thanks for the advice everyone. I think i'll start with a 100 shot then maybe work up to the 125 shot.

no, not to the engine. just blew off the airlid and cracked the top radiator support(airbox). that is what usaully happens, the backfire travels out the throttle body into the MAF. well at least that what it did on my occasional backfire.

Nothing wrong with a dry kit...you can get whatever HP you want from adry kit if you cover your bases.
As some know...I spray a 300 shot all dry, never had a problem in three years of spraying.
However....I want to see what all the TNT fuss is about. I just bought a TNT kit to use on the second stage. I really like the looks of thier nozzles.
I would not hesitate to go TNT...especially if you just doing a single stage setup.

I had a TNT wet kit and it definately hit hard. Can't say anything about the nos but I was happy with the TNT.
