Default heads and cam formula with spray

1998 formula with 91,000 miles 227 prc heads with a ms3 cam on a 113 lsa. Plan is to make around 600 on a 100 shot would this be taking a risk on the motor with 91,000 miles.

100 shot? Keep the tune safe, run good oil, pull 4 degrees, install BR6ef plugs and let it eat

600 to the wheels could happen? I don't want to go anything over 100.

You won't hit 600 rwhp on a 100 shot with that setup

What he said ^^^^ You most likely aren't going to get to 600 with that set up. 550 if everything is optimized. 600 is easily achievable with a little bigger shot.

You can always shoot for as much HP and TQ you can get NA, and then add whatever shot you need to reach your goal. Just start small and work your way up and make sure you keep things safe by reading your plugs and making sure you have enough timing pulled.

Just follow the guidelines and your motor will be fine. I imagine the car might net right around 500 with that combo, but the 100 shot will still pick the car up alot.

Let me know if you have any questions man.

OP I used to get caught up in wanting certain dyno numbers too, but have learned the hard way that's it's not a good thing to get caught up in

As long as everything is done right and in good working order your car will make whatever it makes on any given dyno. Taking it to the track and racing others is the only true way to see how powerful your car truly is

This is sound advise. MPH is what really matters. The dyno is a tuning tool.

Spot on advice^^^^^. OP build what you can afford to build and have fun. There will always be someone faster who has deeper pockets. Whatever you do, do not push the thing constantly on the ragged edge unless you have the pockets to maintain it. 420-450 N/A plus a 100 shot is a blast and is fast enough to put you in the low tens at 130ish mph with all the supporting mods.
