Default New to N20 - LS3 408ci (pics)

After getting my 408ci running it wasn't long until I started piecing together a N2o kit. I'm a first timer, and have read several threads and would appreciate some guidance on how to proceed.

For more about my build: "Another LS3 408 Build"

I've since added a Holley single plane intake w/ aaron's elbow.

In terms of nitrous, here's what I have:
Cold Fusion Nitrous Wet Kit - Nozzle with jets ranging from a 100-250 shot
Bottle Heater with pressure switch
Remote bottle opener
purge kit
NOS WOT/ RPM switch
LNC 2000
NGK BR7 plugs

Wiring all of this together was hell, but I think I've got it all down, and I actually found a pretty nifty switch panel from a guy on Ebay.

I plan getting the bottle filled an running a 100 shot for testing. I've got the WOT/RPM switch configure to turn on at 3,000 rpms and shut off at 6,100 when the TPS reads at least 4.3 volts.

As I understand, I need to do the following:

- pull 4 degrees timing for the 100 shot
- make a full pass through 4th and shut the engine down immediately in order to read the plugs. Do I need to pull all of them or just a few?

Test fitting the bottle in the spare tire area:

When you go to the track to tune it, you'll want to put a fresh set of plugs in it at the track and then push it to the starting line. Make your pass and shut it down as you go through the beams, and you'll need to pull all of your spark plugs. The reason is that every cylinder will have different distribution, and you want to tune to the hottest cylinder. If the hottest cylinder is happy, the rest of your cylinders should also be safe. Also, depending on your fuel system you may not be able to spray as much as you're wanting. The stock fuel pump is normally good for only about 150HP over stock, and the fuel supply will be affected by what all you have done to the car already. The BR7EF spark plugs should hold you up to around 200, but at 200 you may need to run the B8EFS. Just keep an eye on your plugs, fueling, and timing and you should be good to go!

Thanks!
Separate question: how could i measure my TPS volts?
After looking around other threads, it seems that most read around 4.65 volts at WOT, but nothing definitive.

I understand why the OP asked if he needed to pull them all, or just a few. Wow, to pull all of the plugs, at the end of the drag strip would be near impossible in a 4th gen F-body wouldn't it? Getting number 8 out from the top on a hot motor/exhaust? I find number 8 so frustrating the last 2 times I changed the number 8 plug I pulled the transmission, that makes it easier. At first you might say that's crazy, but in my shop with a lift and transmission jack, it is far less frustration. I usually try to combine changing number 8 with other work like head swap, header installation, motor mount swap, or transmission/converter work. Has anyone actually pulled all 8 on the far end of a drag strip in a 4th gen?. I guess the only correct way for me to do this would to push it on a trailer down there, and take it back to the shop, and push it on the lift. any suggestions about how to get no 8 out down there would be appreciated. Is there a special tool?

Hmmm pulling the coil packs off has always given me plenty of room to get to number 8. A lot easier than dropping the trans. Lmao. And I have a lift as well.

I do have big hands, and I have gotten it by itself, but after 30 minutes of perfecting the art of colorful cursing and a very bruised/cut hand. Putting my hand back there in that hole on anything but a completely cool engine is truly asking for pain. I think if it came down to sticking my hand down there by that primary when the engine is hot, to pull that plug, or spending a night as Hillary's boy toy, ... well it would be a tough call! When I seed Andy's post about pulling all 8, I had terrible flashbacks of changing that plug for the first time, on a 4th gen many years ago!

Does everyone pull all eight? That's the only response I've gotten.
Oh and my TPS volts question....any input there?

Scanner or tuning software can read TPS voltage. This can be done without the motor running, just key on.

I have tall valve covers and the AC box is still there for now. My valve covers are literally 1/2" from the AC box.

Your TPS may go up to 4.5-4.6 volts, but under full throttle that voltage can fluctuate some. If you have it set at 4.6 and it keeps fluctuating down to 4.5, the nitrous will be on/off/on/off/etc. In my experience, setting it at 4.2-4.3 volts lets it have a nice consistent hit.
