i hear a wet kit will blow off my intake and lid,

and a dry kit..
well i have the SLP 85mm MAF
which we all know is incompetent of even running the car n/a
so i really dont want to let it have anything to do with metering n2o
and deciding how much fuel to add.

that leaves, direct port, right?
is there ANY way to hide DP?
i know for SBC there is an under manifold setup,
what about these cars?

can i put corvette fuel rail covers on to hide direct port?
(it would be a good excuse to get vette rail covers, too)

to answer your question, i saw one time a VERY VERY trick DP system, it used hard lines that were bent INSIDE the manifold. the kit was not hidden completely, but if you were to put some frc's on that motor it would have been one sneaky sumbitch

how big of a shot are you running? direct port is usually used for pretty large shots, the smallest ive seen is 150. if you want to play it safe, put the stock maf back in and get a dry shot

 

Wet Kits are perfectly safe as long as the user isn't a complete idiot.

A full size engine cover will hide them just fine. I may be getting a contact for Holden covers soon. The covers look like this:

That dp system would not fool anybody that was racing for money. I can't see why you would want to try to hide a dp system on an ls1. You could do a hidden 150 dry shot much easier.

I'm rigging 2 small 12V fans to counter that. I'll post pix when it's done.

 

I do not see were heat soak would a problem. Looks like the cover does not touch anything.

 

We can do a hidden system on a LS.We would just take the intake and machine a system into it.

In my experience....most everyone who is interested in hiding a nitrous system is a 16 year old who have never had nitrous, never used nitrous, and has no real intentions of racing for serious money ($1,000 plus) on the street...just young guys who think hiding stuff is "cool"....anyone who is racing against you and has 1/2 a brain will be able to tell if you have some nasty 150-300 dp nitrous system without ever seeing under your hood.

Just install it and go racing, hiding **** is really stupid, only works on 16year old ricer want-to-be's.

I don't think thats all accurate. My buddy has a 2002 Camaro SS and he hit it because he does some money races. He had an NOS dry kit. All the switches were hidden, the tank was hidden, and the solenoids were as well. Only way you could tell is if you took off the lid and saw the jets poking through the filter, or if you saw the FPSS on the fuel rail.

If I could hide it, I would. I like the look of a clean engine bay.
