Default Fuel setup for big shot

I’m wanting to put a big shot on my 98 Camaro. I’m hoping for a 300 shot. I’m replacing the pistons and rods, all forged. I was wondering what would be the best fuel route. Stand alone or any other option. If anyone has experience with this your input would be greatly appreciated.

Need more info on the rest of the fuel system. In general, the standalone fuel cell will be the "Safest" option as you could run say 93 in the tank and C16 or whatever else in the standalone to enrichen the shot.

Could you pull off the rail if the fuel supply is up to the task? Sure. But a standalone will probably be your best option at that point. Just make sure the wiring and what not is solid and done correctly.

Stock fuel pump right now.... was looking at the stand alone kit from Nitrous Outlet. Just wanted to know if it’s better to run high pressure or low pressure if I’m turning the pump on with the arming switch. I want to run a 300 shot and have the separate fuel cell kicked on when the nitrous is armed. It will have a window switch with an lnc2000 for time retarding. Would you recommend direct port and if so would you run individual wide bands for each cylinder for best results on a tube.

Low pressure is fine. You could run a 300 on direct port or a plate just fine. You will want to learn how to read plugs if you don't know how. The plug is where the magic is happening, a wideband is only going to be a second check. If the plugs look good, then the tune up is good.

Is the lnc2000 the only timing retarder or are there other options besides doing the retard through the pcm?

There are more, the LNC-2000 is the most commonly used box though.

A direct port system and dedicated fuel system are the best way to go when you're looking to run a big shot. What intake are you planning to use?

Planning on using an ls6 intake but would be open to anything to help with the direct porting.

Polluter v2 cam, 243 heads(going to get them ported before the shot is installed), dual valvesprings on the head, wanting ls6 intake for the shot (need guidance from some more experienced nitrous guys), got a NOS mini, just purchased an lnc2000, forced pistons (weiseco 3.905 with -4 cc’s), going after some forged rods as well. Going with stock crank. Nitrous outlet standalone fbody fuel cell to supply the shot when armed.
