Default Nitrous wiring cost

Anyone know what the average price is for wiring a nitrous kit? I have everything mounted and all lines etc ran just need the electrical part wired it's a nitrous outlet plate kit, lnc2000, nitrous outlet WinMax, local shop quoted me $1200-1500 to just wire up the electrical and I have most of the fuse blocks etc. Needless to say the kits been on the car for 6 months and not wired because I can't find any other place to do it and I'm not very good with electrical engineering.

Typically install of a plate system with window switch and accessories is 8-12 hours including wiring. We do have DIY wiring harnesses (unterminated) that reduce that time significantly for the shop or yourself!

I didn't know about that I will give you all a call as my entire system is nitrous outlet and everything is already installed just the wiring is all that's left.

10 hours is about average. The LNC is probably the most work. If you're planning to use all 3 options of the LNC, it's worth it. If only needing it for timing retard, it's easier to utilize the stock PCM to pull timing. It's a very simple thing to do if you know someone with HP tuners or have it yourself. A lot less wiring and only needs one wire and a terminal.
If you're near Etown, Ky. I now work at a shop that the guy hired me specifically for GM stuff.

I bought an entire nitrous kit from Nitrous Express for 600 dollars and I needed to buy, the switches and maybe another 100 dollars worth of An lines, another 50 for fittings and a roll of wire for 10 dollars at advanced auto parts. My switches are getting power from the cigarette lighter to arm everything. 1200 dollars just to install a nitrous system is a little crazy. I had to call nitrous express to ask about some questions about their relay but it relatively wasnt too hard to do, I eventually figured it out but unless you arent trying to run a timing retard box then id say try and figure it out yourself. Save 1200 dollars for some performance parts perhaps or just money on hand in case something goes wrong.

If it's done right, 10 hours is pretty reasonable. At a shop rate of $100+ an hour, anything from $1000-$1500 would be fair.

I said done right, not using scotch locks, 3 rolls of electric tape and wire nuts.

It takes a lot of time doing wiring properly.

Thanks everyone, I believe I'm going to get the wiring kit from nitrous outlet and roll that way and make it a winter project along with many things.

Wiring isn’t to hard. People over complicate it. It’s just attention to detail and reading the schematics. The time it takes is just that. Experience makes you more efficient, but if do it yourself you will have a better understanding on the system and able to diagnosis issue if they arise! DIY is the way to go!!

Do it yourself. Make sure you use proper wire size and there is a grommet and a hole entering the cabin behind the pcm. Might be smart to run 3 or 4 wires through it for future use. Make sure you use relays and I would splice in fuses for the 12v battery power wires with relays.

A basic kit is easy. The it'll come to more and more. But you'll find it easier as you do things. Next will be a prge kit, then bottle warmer (not the propane torch style either) remote bottle opener, etc etc.

But I do HIGHLY recommend a window switch. That is probably one of the most important safeguards you can have.

10 hours??? It definitely not a 10 hours job, sorry guys. It's actually very simple to do, I would do it myself. It's just a matter of running a few relays, the winmax has very easy instructions. Ground, power, 12v to battery and relay, and the winmax has a stage 1 wire which you will hook to the solenoids, the solenoids have 2 wires, ground and power. Doesn't matter which wire you use, then it has a timing wire which you will hook to the lnc2000 timing wire, then the lnc2000 has a step step wire. I ran that wire to a switch and then supplied power from my brake fuse, this way you can turn the 2 step off and on as you please. The lnc2000 plugs directly to the coil packs on both sides of engine. Install plate behind throttle body, hook nitrous feed there, then other side supply fuel. 3-4 hours max
