Is there potential problems spraying through the LS1 intake?
Just curious as I am still alittle froggy on this. I've read the N20 files from colonel and searched the forums too. Is it safe to spray a wet shot, up to a 125hp shot (after LS1 Edit dyno tuned by the shop I use for said shot) would there be potential for puddling in the intake?
I've read that the NX shark nozzle's don't suffer puddling the intakes. But I was just curious as the typical sprayers here seem to be running LS6 intakes instead. I understand the more airflow = better performance.
But I don't plan to change my intake anytime soon. And don't want any problems either when I do spray a wet shot.
Then next question.
If it's safe, problem free. What would I expect with a 100 or 125hp shot in the 1/4? I'm currently running (Even with the 3500 stall and 3.73 gearing) 13.2 @ 104. 60' has been 1.9s to 2.0 on DR's.
Thanks!

You should pick up about a second in the 1/4th with a 100 to 125 shot.
But as long as you use a window switch set to start spraying at a minimum of 3,000 rpm's you shouldn't have any problem with puddling or intake velocity which would cause a nitrous backfire.

Cool, that's my only concern with the wet. I've been told the NX Shark nozzel are great and far safer than any other. Doesn't puddle in the intake. And I know the LS6 flows alot better than the LS1, but was unsure if I would have a problem or not.
Thanks man!!

I agree with Jamnut that it will be safe with the window switch. Since you've got a 3500 stall, you'll still be launching with it out of the hole. You may have traction problems that won't let you net a full second, but you'll still see a big gain from the gas.

MSD has a new digital window switch (which I use) and it kicks ***. No more little "pills" to change. It's adjustable in 100 rpm increments from 200-15000 rpms. MSD 8969 it's about $90.

I run the window switch that's built into the Ramchargers timing tuner. I also run the nitrous delay that's built in that way you won't have to worry about spraying straight outta the hole. Just dial in 1 or 2 10th's of delay & you won't have to worry about spraying outta the hole and slamming into the converter when it flashes at 3,500+ rpm's. Remember the more torque the higher the stall, so with the low end torque that a 125 shot will lay down might even raise your stall a little bit making it flash harder & higher outta the hole.

I don't plan on spraying out of the hole I'm afriad I'd have to kiss that 10-bolt rear good bye with one good hook. I'm wanting to use the stall NA just to get the car going and start spraying in 2nd. That way I keep traction and don't put the rear under so much load.

i have a single shark nozzle and have made 12 runs so far at the track with the 150 shot. 8 of those runs were all in the 10s. now i have the 200 in it and ran it about 4 times on the street. i have yet to puddle the intake and have a nitrous back fire but it can happen. now i am crossing my fingers and thinking about running the 250 shot through that same single nozzle. all runs were done spraying out of the hole on the stock 10 bolt. also i am a true beliver in the NX shark nozzle and this is coming from a loyal NOS customer. in mader of fact, the rest of the kit is NOS and nitrous works. the only NX parts are the shark nozzle and jets.
