Default MSD Digital Window Switch-PN#8969

Has anyone used MSD's Digital Window Switch(PN#8969) or heard anything about them? The reason I ask is they are only like $20 more than the one that requires pills(extra $$$) and who woouldnt rather have the digital?

They are a good unit.We sell them for 95.00. The problem is they are hard to get ahold of.We sell them faster than we can get them.

Hmmmmmmmm---Let me ask you guys this. I was planning on getting a timing tuner for retarding timing when I spray and since it also works as a window switch it was even better. WOuld it be ridiculous to use the timing tuner for the tiiming and not the window switch and then use the MSD#8969 for the window switch????? It woulld be alot easier to adjust! What do you think?

The digital switch rocks… One little thing I would mention is that you need to configure it for a 4 cylinder engine. The instructions say to set it for a one cylinder for LS1’s, but it needs to be set to 4.

Why did MSD print it wrong? So LS1's dont need to be configured for 8cyl or 4cyl like MSD says but for 1cyl ? When you say configure it that is all done by pressing a button on the face of it correct? What happens if you set it for 4cyl or 8cyl? Anyone know? So using the timing tuner and the MSD#8969 wouldnt be ridiculous?

I see no use for they grey wire looking at the diagram. I will not use it.

The grey wire removes ground and the yellow wire adds ground when the window is activated.

The grey wire has a use, just not for a basic setup.

I have had the digital window switch for about 6 years now. It has never given me a problem and its mounted under the hood.
The unit is very user friendly and super easy to make changes to the activation and deactivation windows in 100 rpm increments.

I say if you can get one, buy it.

I have this exact window switch, but have yet to use it. It came with the car upon purchase with a complete nitrous system installed, and just got the car back in September. I was playing around with it recently though, and it looks really cool lol

like someone posted, 4 cyl mode for LS1s, but it also has an RPM readout, so you can tell if its correct or not. 1cyl mode if attached to coil pack. 4 cyl mode if attached to speedo output
