was running 29.1 degrees of timing with a pretty good WOT tune, compression is 11:1 5.3 heads 230 232 cam on a 113, put a walbro 340 in and backed my timing down to 28 degrees what should i set it at for a 75 to 100 shot NX MAF kit
75-100 shot most likely won't need any retard. on both my formulas i run no retard. 99 formula has 175 wet. 00 formula has 200 wet.
but, from NOS, they have told me years go 1* per 50hp.

just 93 octane TR6 at ~~.035 gap guess ill try 26 degrees, how much is 3 degrees total going to hurt my NA performance? the guys from GMMG gave me my current tune
75-100 shot doesn't need you to pull timing out. If you are worried than go ahead and do it but not only will your NA performance suffer, so will your nitrous performance. The knock sensors will pull timing if it senses detonation. Just put TR6s in and run good fuel and you will be fine. You could put a timing tuner in and pull timing when the nitrous is activated. That's what I do.
Are saying run stock timing with 100 shot on stock motor? What is you have H/C and pushing 440rwhp. Then spraying 100 shot? Should you pull just to be safe then? I`m running this set-up right now and just curious. Thanks!!

I would definatly go to 26 and work your way up, looking for knock retard. Yes the computer will pull timing but its better to do it right and do it once. I rather not see any knock retard on a pull. You might be ok to pull 1.5 degrees or so. you might be Ok with stock timing too with a good 11.5:1 AFR. There is a lot of factors on weather or not you will have detonation.
The best way is to use a timming box that will pull timing at WOT after 3000 rpm. So N/A you're running efficiently and only pull timming on nitrous runs.
Or to have a handheld that allows you to pull timing at the track and set it back quickly for the road. My VHP allows me to do that.

Stock timing I could see being OK with a small shot
because I've found my car would take maybe 4-5
degrees over stock timing NA. But if you'd already
gone and tweaked it up to its ping limit you would
probably want to pull back some and test it for
what it can really take.

Just get a Ramchargers TT & use it to pull timing only when spraying. It also has a built in nitrous delay & window switch. That way you can run your NA tune & don't have to plug in a Nitrous tune with Edit or some other tuning device. Since you are already running a tuned car with the timing bumped, I would recommend pulling some timing on even small shots.
