you will not need that with some tires i would be willing to bet you can spray a 75 shot out the hole the progressive is mainly for spraying small amounts out the gate a gradually increase the nitrous 75 would not be woth the time hooking it up or the money.. but hell if you already have it hook it up maybe one day you will spray BIG and will need it

Once i get a built FMS 346 w/ forged bottom end etc etc. then ill be planing on going up to at least a 150-200shot or more but that wont be for awhile. Guess ill wait on the progressive controller till then Thanks for the help guys!!!!!!!! Kinda new in the nitrous world since this is my wet first kit that im going to use. I had an NOS dry kit but never used it so it got sold to fund my NX kit w/genX upgrade(wanted wet over dry) Just hoping for consistant high 11s w/ an F13 or F14cam and then Mid to lower 11s w/ the 75 shot or 100hp shot if that what it takes to hit low 11s. Im gonna try using some 275/40 or 315/35 nitto drag radials or some 26x10in et streets on a 16x8in factory z28 rim. Which every hooks best.Using stock rear w/ 3.73 gears and TA girdle and vig3200 I got the rear traction stuff done w/ BMR LCAs, SFCs, PHB, and SLP torque arm. Hope i get my goal, we shall know by feb05 since the season is done around here for me. If not, i bet ill have a damn fun time tryin

Went around a turn at 105-110mph( which i had done several times before on my 17x9.5in torque thrusts) and the left front wheel (Alum Borgart welded R/Ts 15x3.5in on skinnie tire) broke into 3 pieces and sent me flying off into the woods destroying my 99Z28 and bracking my back. Thats me being stupid!

BMN, I have been using the same set of Solenoids for testing Progressive Nitrous controllers for 7 years. They still work fine! Yes, sometimes solenoids fail.
When a fuel pressure safety switch is used it cycles the solenoids very, very rapidly. Do you think the manufacturers would sell something they felt was destroying the solenoids. i.e. - going to have people upset because the solenoids failed.
I just know hundreds, no thousands of people have used progressive controllers with good success. I am sure there are horror stories for some. I can point out a few of my stories involving other products, however, many times it can be traced back to a learning experiance.
If your RPM switch thingy hovers around the set points does it rapidly turn the noids on and off? Just a thought.
Just my .02 worth, if its worth that!

As for needing a controller for a 75 hp shot.I would put the money to better use on something else.

Depends on what you want to do with it. I got a controller to solve my traction problems and to allow me to shoot a bigger shot. It may be harder on the solenoids, but i'd rather replace them than engine/tranny/rear end parts.
My question to you would be why do you want a controller?

I'd say go for it for 150 and up. I get to finally test mine at the track tomorrow. I got the NX Maximizer, it looks awesome so far with the exception of how it counts gears.

I don't think you will need a progressive controller until you go with a really big shot. I used to launch all the time on a 200 shot out of the hole without any issues, it's all in the suspension set up. When I went to the 300 shot that all changed and then I needed the controller.

Guess ill wait till i spray at least 150 or more then, which wont be for awhile!!(not till i get a built bottom-end) Im just going w/ the f14cam, vig3800 and NX 75hp shot & 3.73 for awhile. What would be a good rpm to set the window switch for to kick in and cut off? I was thinking 3000rpm kick in and cut off at bout 6200-6400? What you guys think?

Those are good RPM's, you might want to up the kick in a little with that converter though. Get the MSD Digital Window Switch (PN:8969) and you'll be able to dial it in at the touch of a button. It's really nice, no pills to worry about.
