Default NX 150 fuel pump?

Buying a 99 TA from a buddy that has a NX kit on it, jetted for 150hp, he has sprayed about 3 full bottles through it and never a problem. Only had it at the track once though. My question is, should I be using a bigger fuel pump for the 150hp shot? The motor is stock and only has a lid and borla cat back, free mods etc. No timing removed or additions to the fuel system? Can the stock fuel system provide enough fuel for the 450+rwhp its probably putting down on spray? I am going to do bolts ons eventually but for now I am just gonna spray but don't want to melt it if possible.

Went 12.90@108 with a 1.8x 60' NA and 11.55@121.xx with a 1.8x 60' spraying about middle of 1st gear. M6.

I would upgrade the fuel pump to a better one like the walbro 255, and back off 6 degrees of timing when on the bottle with the 150 jets in it. A good rule of thumb is take away 2 degrees for every 50 hp, but I've been told it's only neccesary to do so with 125 and above shots on the LS1. Hope this helps.

YES on the fuel pump...
NO on the timing retard...

If you have not done anything to increase your stock timing, the 150 shot will run well...the "old" rule of thumb for retarding timing 2 degrees per 50 is just that....an old rule. With the NX kits on the LS1 150 shot is fine, and about 2 degrees per 50 PAST a 150 shot...if you pulled out 6 degrees of timing now on the 150 shot, you would kill the power and possibly actually hurt the motor from too much timing retard....timing retard tends to heat up the motor compared to normal timing...

I run 200 shot with 2 degrees of timing out from my car 9not stock car or stock timing, but still) on pump gas with some Torco additive.

No need to worry about timing since you are running a stock tune.Since the car is stock as far as bolt ons and cam etc.You are probley fine with the stock pump. However its a cheap thing to reaplace to make sure there are no problems.

Ya the owner nor I have done anything to the tuning of the car. Its a 99 with 27k original miles, MTI lid and filter, borla and !MAF screen is all thats been done to it, call else motor wise is completely stock. He has sprayed about 3-4 bottles through it and never had a problem but out of all those bottles, only maybe 3-4 FULL passes when spraying so. I am going to do bolt ons eventually but for now I would just like to spray the **** outta it and not have it melt. I will probably upgrade the pump as the first real mod but for now I would like to run as is, maybe I should jet it down a tad, maybe like 125hp, IF there is a jetting combo for that, not sure. Don't want to drop down to 100hp.

He does have Autolite 103s in it but I will probably switch to some NGKTr55s or something colder before I start spraying it.
