Default Drag Strip Results From Today!

After the waste-of-time trip to the drag strip on Friday night, I went back today to try my luck again and the results were a new best ET and MPH for me!

60' = 1.696
330 = 4.809
1/8 = 7.401
MPH = 93.7
1000 = 9.616
1/4 = 11.478
MPH = 121.55

Here's a short, crappy video of the run.

11.478 Run

That's great XTrooper, congrats on a great run. It's so close to my 95hp hit run at: 1.568 11.410 @ 121.96. glad your getting things worked ouy, as you see it's worth all the effort.

Let me be the first to congratulate you. It's Gary, the soon to be Nitorus brother. Wow great run, especially in the heat! So help me understand how you ran your Nitrous on this run.

Anything I needs to know from a install and driving standpoint so I can ensure I have a good run and don't blow my car up. Do you run a FPSS? I have one ready to install but have heard mixed reviews.

Was that a 75, or 100 shot? What was your BMN set to and did you have the 1st gear lock out activated? In other words, did you spray out of the hole? How does it feel when the nitrous kicks in.

Great run. I guess this stuff really works, doesn't it. Great Run!!!!!!!!!!!

How much did you pick up from your previosu best ET and MPH? I see you were anxious and already switched your sig times You see my N/A below, so I should be hauling pretty good on a 100 shot.

Hello again, Gary!

1. Yes, I'm using an FPSS.
2. 75 shot, sprayed in 1st Gear from 4000 rpm.
3. It felt damn good when the nitrous hit!
4. I dropped over a half-second and picked up 6.7 mph on the big end, all with just a 75 shot!

Yeah, this stuff really works!

I wonder how many more days until you swap to the 100 HP Jets?

Also, did you do any tuning to your Vette? I doubt it with a 75, but just curious. I am going for the 100 jets and putting it on the dyno so I know everything works fine and then leaving it alone until my tranny breaks, then I guess I will call Rodney from the CF to get a new tranny

You bet! You know, for some reason, the temp, humidity, etc weren't recorded on any of the timeslips yesterday, but I know the temp was in the 80's and the humidity was relatively low. The track elevation is at 974' above sea level, so I'm guessing that the DA was somewhere between 1200' and 1500', but that's only a guess.

Gary: No, I didn't change my tuning at all, just ran it on my NA tune.

Looking back. Nitrous was simply all that was needed to make our cars faster.

Well, we've both done a little more to our cars than add nitrous, but the N2O sure didn't hurt!

No problem. If I read your post correctly, you sprayed in first, right? Cool feeling huh? I know the first time I hit it in first I was amazed. Much more thrilling then from second. ENJOY!!!!!
Not sure if you need to "step up" to the 100 shot. Your numbers look good AND safe. Fast enough to give most cars a good run.
Fast is fun, but safe, IMHO, is better. I always like driving home better then watching the car get towed!

Yes, I had the nitrous come on at 4000 rpm in 1st Gear which is only about a second after I launch with my 3500 stall converter. Very exhilarating!

I agree about the move higher. I think I'm going to hold what I have until if and when I put a forged stroker motor under the hood.
