Default popping noise while spraying

Just installed a 5177 kit, 36 lb injectors, walbro 255 intank FP, on 5.3 heads with the TSP 233/239 cam. Took timming down to 24 Deg. and added a bit a fuel. Tonight was the first time i used it, and i was at the track..

first problem.. couldnt hardly fell any additional pull when the WOT switch activated.

second prob. Car was kinda popping and sputtering.. then on the shifts, it backfired and when i let off for good, it backfired..

Thought maybe my install on my Walbro had problems, so i pulled it, and the hose supplied with the TSP walbro kit MAY be too long, causing a crimp..not 100% sure yet..

Anyone got any Ideas?

check your plugs, sounds like you were running pretty lean... Do NOT spray again until you get the fuel issues sorted out. Have you checked fuel pressure at WOT?

Souns like your getting to much fuel. Best to put it on the dyno and see what it is doing. My car sputters and boggs when I had the wrong fuel jets.

Funny how too lean, or too rich, or a misfiring plug can cause similar popping symptoms.
I'd check the plugs very carefully and if that turns up nothing put a wideband on it.

Too much fuel would be my guess as well.

How much are you spraying with the 5177 kit?

You probably did this along time ago, but make sure you take out the stock screen in the maf when you spray dry.
