Sooooo I didn't want to spend $125 bucks on a "real" bottle warmer so I went to wally world and bought this:

it fits perfect around the bottle 12x24

i used some bungy cords to hold it on

it's got 3 settings

and it gets really hot, i guess i need a remote pressure gauge now!

best part is it cost $15...YAY



it has a blanket thingy but i think i'm going to buy an acutal bottle blanket to make it look pertty

Honestly, it won't get as hot as the ones designed for nitrous use... but yours DOES wrap around the entire bottle. I think it might just work. Let us know.

Hey, we have that exact same heating pad! Actually, it gets pretty f'ing hot on the highest setting. My wife almost burned herself once when she accidently put it on high and the cloth cover rolled back. Let us know how it works. I already have a bottle warmer, but it might be helpful to others.

No way, power inverters are expensive, as long as you dont go far from your house you can just use a long extension cord.

I already have several power invertors

i'll let you guys know how it goes...but yea it does get pretty dang hot!

Also i take my kit on and off my car probably 2-3times a month so this will help not having a heater wired into the car

thats what I did, but folded the pad so it would fit with the brackets and used some zip ties to tighten it up tight against the bottle for better contact.
It does get hot but takes awhile

I needed a heater since I am heading to the track tomorrow and I didnt have enough time to order one to my doorstep. I bought the same damn thing at wally world for $9.94 or whatever. I figure I can use it at home after I order a real heater.

It'll work.. but not very well.. you need to leave it on for a loooooooooooooooong time to get the bottle to change pressure and heat up... i tried. It takes a lot longer than the real bottle heaters I've owned before (NX). Since I have a two hour drive to the track it'll work ok. I already have an inverter I use for my laptop so that wasn't an issue.

I wouldn't want to use it on any kind of permanent basis though.. I mean real heaters usually have a pressure switch as well so you can just turn it on and forget about it. The $59 heater element is worth it over a ghetto rig like that but if it works.. it works I guess.

a "good" bottle heater that is pressure activated/deactivated is 130 bucks

I have always just used an oil pan heater from Moroso...about $50...plugs right into the generator when I am at the track.

Just a note.. tried this out at the track. Doesn't get hot enough to do any good really. Had it on for 2 hours and it went up maybe 50-100 psi. I was desperate and didn't have time to order a heater hehe. Guess what I'm going to do now.. order a real damn heater.

went from 800 to 1100 in 1 hour

which is aweseom b/c it takes me an hour to get to the track

I guess its safer then using a propane torch to heat the bottle.. i have seen that done plenty of times in the pits and always scratched my head in amazment...
