Lightbulb Window switch, tps, progressive programmer...IN ONE BOX!

Someone needs to make one. My idea is to simply hook power and noids directly to this jewel. Or does it already exist?

I have some trouble shootiong to do on my system...that is the purpose of this inquiry. I got to thinking about how nice it would be to have things "black boxed" in a tidy package as far as subdividing the wiring between the TPS unit, the MSD Window Switch and the power relay for the solenoids...not to mention the potential for connections to wind up being faulty from the movement of the motor.

So Matt - Yep still have the paper work on it...thank you. At the time I was looking into simply logging perfromance. Now I am really thinking more in terms of simplifing installation. So with The Edge and The FJO piece seems like these pieces solve lots of potential issues. Same answser to different questions in a way.

Thanks - Macon

that looks pretty cool, but i'm kinda confused in some areas. what does TPS stand for? and with this little box, i can basically controll when and how much the nitrous is shooting from my laptop, but will i have to have my laptop with me any time i want to shoot? or can i preprogram settings and leave it alone?

TPS=Throttle Position Switch (No WOT (wide open throttle) switch required))
Edge does not require a laptop.
FJO does require a laptop.

I think i am correct here.

yes you can use the trigger wire to disable the system. So in a clutch set up just set up a switch to close its contacts when pressed in. This will turn the system off.

Ricky, does the polarity matter? i know when i had my harlen 2 step in my WS6 i just connected the wire directly into my pcm clutch wire. however, on my vette i had to use a relay.

Hey Ricky, can you draw that up. i am pondering a 2-step and was wondering the same. I believe I know how to do it, but seeing it on paper is mucho better. Also, then we could add it to the wiring stickie. One question, for the old school guys that like the multi stage, is there any way to do 3-stages on any single controller, preferably the FJO. Man, I am telling you, my 3-stages and 3-ws wiring and the rest of my add ons is becoming a nightmare. I would like sometime to get it all drawn up and see if any one else has a more complicated wiring system. Which I would like to make more simple.

I feel you on the wiring Robert. I am looking at a options to redo my entire Nitrous and controlling setup. Final will be two stages, two step, trans brake, line lock, heater, purge....WTFE else I can think of wiring into this bad boy. I like how Beer posted his switches being jumpered off each other, for ground. Now I am looking into a sheathed multi-wire cable, like CAT5e or something for carrying low load 12v signal. Not only reduce the scatter of wire, but make running it much easier. Got any suggestions?

Yea, it's kinda fun though to see how complicated you can get it, and still be able to troubleshoot it.
7-relays
6-noids
5-toggle sws
2-bottle heaters
1-line lock
3-additional indicate lights
2-gauges fuel press/n20 press, both elect
1-LM1 wide band
1-Laptop
2-window sws
1-rpm activation sw
1-1st gear lock out for 2nd/3rd stages
1-purge
2-micro sws
and am certain that I am missing some stuff.

Then coming,
1-two step
1-micro sw activated kenny bell bap
1-3rd stage rpm on indicater light
1-additional purge
1-anything else I can think of to toss in the mix.
Robert

Upt, Robert, you listed 1- purge twice you sly lil devil You definately got a lot more going on then I do. I actually thought about cutting it all down to one setup, with ProController..only two noids/1 WOT/1 Purge that way. Dunno.
