The ET heads seem to need a way colder plug then AFR or stock ported even on the motor.

Good luck!

Hey Matt, what's the diff between the NGK BR7EF and the BP7EFS? I'm running the BP7EFS and was under the assumption they were equivalent to a 7?

And Phil, setup is 374 stroker, 11.3:1 compression, 200 tnt wet and 100 dry, 93 octane in main tank and been runnin 110 in the standalone (high pressure) since I got it.

Devon,

The difference between the two plugs is that the BP7EFS is a non-resistor plug. They are however still within the same heat range 7. Here is a breakdown of the NGK part number:

B=14mm thread diameter
P=Projected Insulator Construction
7=heat range (NGK - the higher the # the colder the range)
EF=Tapered Seat .708" reach
S=Standard 2.5mm diameter center electrode

B=14mm thread diameter
R=Resistor type construction
7=heat range
EF=Tapered Seat .708" reach

Thanks! Now i'm curious though, which one's better, resistor or non-resistor? I'm not really sure the diff between the two types, I don't know too much about plugs.

EFI = Resistor Style Plug

If you are running a Non Resistor plug you could pick up a lot of interference.

Ok, so I should be using the BR7EF then? Instead of the BP7EFS? When you say interference, what exactly are you talkin about? Sorry for all the questions, still learning things! And thanks for all the answers!

Oh ****, wonder if that's what's been causin the weird jumpin issue that happens every now and then with my tach, I noticed it while I was racin sunday, happened to be lookin at the tach, and at about 6500 in 2nd gear it jumped to 7500, then came back, just before the shift light went on. I'll have to get a set of the BR's and see if that solves it, I was thinkin I might have an electrical problem somewhere. Thanks for the help Matt, appreciate it!

I'm not sure about this one. I have been ETP Heads w/ TR6 and seems to be just as it did with stock heads and TR 6 plugs. Same gap, markings on the plugs etc...it may be the difference in Compression, stock 10.1:1 to the now ETP 347 @ 11.47:1?

We had to run TR7's with my 370 and 240 ET heads.

Low timing and 12:1 AF it still specled the TR6's Wont even get into what we had to run on the jug.

it does seem these et heads require colder plugs. I bought bkr7e-11 just to get the thing started up. How cold of a plug do you think I need with a 300shot?
