BMN 1st gear lockout

BMN 1st gear lockout
OK, ive had my n20 and BMN window switch for months now and have never been able to get the 1st gear lockout to work. I would REALLY love this feature to work because spraying in first I spin like crazy (obviously) and this is killing my track times.
My only thoughts are that maybe I dont have it set to the correct cylinder mode. I have heard the on LSX motors you are supposed to set the window switch to 4 cylinder mode.. I don't know what to try at this point. Everything else has to be correctly wired because I have the red (12v), amber (on when brake is depressed), and green (lit in my RPM range) all lighting at the correct time.
Please help me out

Yes, the BMN needs to be set to 4 cyl mode on a ls1. What did you set your to?

didn't work, I still sprayed in first. I have It set to 4cyl mode and the first gear lockout is active and it still sprayed in first gear every time.
OH and at the grove I hit a new best with all the spinning through 1st and bottom of 2nd
