Default ATT: Guys with NO- Switch Panels

Ok guys as much as I hate to make this post I need to. WE have ran into a problem that is going to reflect on some of you.

The company we have been getting the switches for to build the switch panles has been having a problem getting ahead of us. As a result of them being out of purge buttons we ordered some from another vendor to be able to fill some orders in this last batch that went out.

The purge button that was supplied to us is not the correct switch. It works opposite of how it is suppose to.

HERE IS HOW YOU KNOW IF YOU HAVE THE BAD PURGE BUTTON::::::

The purge button will have a crome body... Our normal ones used a black body....

HERE IS THE FIX::::

We need you to contact us and let us know that you are one of the guys with the wrong purge button. Unfortintly we are not going to have another batch of the correct ones until the 27th. As soon as they comes in we will send you the replacement at NO charge..

-------------------------------------------------------------------------

We have tried 20 other companys to find another supplier of the switches we need. So far we have had no luck... I am talking with the management of the company we purchase these from to resolve this constant shortage on our orders. It will take time for them to get ahead of what we are ordereing but we are trying to resolve the issue as soon as possible..

I am very sorry for the inconviences this has caused to anyone. I hate the fact that I have to make a post like this because something left here that is not right. But this is the best way to get the problem out in the open so we have the opportunity to correct it.

Thank you guys for all your support and patience.
Dave

so if we have the right one, the part where the connectors is coming out on the bottom of the switch should be black, right?

What we are talking about is the bezel around the front of the switch, if that is chrome then you porbably have one of the bad buttons.

If it has the Chrome ring in the front more than likely you have one of the bad ones. If you would like to take a picture and PM either dave or myself we can look at it just to make sure.

cant these guys just throw a 3$ relay in? if the switch is normaly open but you shipped normaly closed switches a normaly closed relay would get power from the switch holding it open. It would at least keep people going until you get the new switches IMHO

DAmm Dave, this has got to be first. I company stepping up and posting a mistake happened.
Everyone should really appreicate what this means. Dave is a most stand up guy.

The open switch can be used for a purge switch, as long as you do not have an opener.

Koolrays, the only problem with that is when you turn the power off the relay will close sending power to the purge burning it out. Seeing how power is keeping the contacts open.

I agree Dave is really stand up. It takes a real man to come in a public forum and bare it all as he did

While i really hate to use a relay in a way that when it fails it send power to anything, deep down your begging for trouble lol. I still think this would work as an interm solution. On my setup i cant purge unless my system is armed. As long as the same power supply (hopefully off of the ignition) is used for the relay and the purge it would not allow power to the switch hence not allowing power to the purge soleniod.

Its reasons like this that I bought my Switch from Nitro Daves. I received mine a few months ago and wow what a great product and great price. This post just goes to show he still cares about the customer after the purchase and wants to make them happy.

Thank guys..
I just want to make sure that this problem was resolved in the best manner possible with out hurting the expected quality we are known to provide.
The post has worked great and we are getting phone calls and ppms from people that recieved the bad switch. And Thankfully I have not recieved one really upset phone call yet.lol

I have good news guys. I found a company that had 75 purge buttons in stock. They will be here in two days.
This will take care of the current standing orders and the guys that got the wrong switch.
Then we will have 200 pieces comming in on the 27th.
So we are steadily trying to get back in stock on these.
Thanks
Dave
