Default motor is popping

i have a wet kit and mallory box...my tuner said i should be ok with no timing pulled on a 75 shot...well i hit it the first time today on a 75 and pulled 6 degrees, had the window at 35-5500 and it poped about 3-5 times from 4000-6500...
tonight i was driving it more and found out it does this on motor too...well i changed the plugs at the same time...they are tr6 gapped to .35
i hafd this problem before my car doesnt like it...can i up the gap to say 42-44?

Yes. I also wouldnt pull ANY timing with only a 75 shot...no need to. Check your plug wires as well.....

ok but im asking how big of a gap can i go? and whats the problem with having no gap...will the n20 blow out the spark and it will miss??

A .42 gap will be fine, change the plugs, I bet they are fouled out. Pulling 6 degrees for a 75 shot is ?????

it was the initial hit...i turned it down to 4 with a 100 shot and it pulls great...the plug have less than 10 miles on them....as stated above i just changed them and hit it!!!!

ttt answer before tonite? how far can i go or how far should i try on the gap? will it hurt anything with the poping? im sure its just a missfire

You are going to blow the car up. Never spray the car when it doesnt even run right on motor Especially a misfire, the fuel is just puddling up waiting for a little fire to blow something up

slowredz speaks the truth. Nitrous is nothing to mess around with. you need to be tuning it w/ a data logger so you can see exactly what the motor is doing.

well i had no problems with my tr5 at .50...i used to have tr6 in there with a .35 gap and it idled bad...ran bad...my car doesnt like a .35 gap...so i treid a .41
im going for a spin...see what it does...ill be abck

hard to diagnose if you dont know what the motor is doing. what software do LT1's use?

I would normally say get someone/shop with HP Tuners so you can fig it out.

get it on a dyno and find out exactly what it's doing.

gapping the plugs and driving around and trynig to guess is for the birds.

well i can put the tr5 back in and the thing will run like a champ like it always has...so what else can i do? obd1 cant diagnose individual misfire...obd2 can...so im outa luck there...its hard to find people around here that work on lt1...i talked a lil to donny today, he made some suggestions...i will get it on the dyno and do a/f when i start using the juice

ha found the problem...im glad i pulled that timing and had low bottle pressure the other day when i hit it...i allowed a good friend thats knowledgable about cars hook back up my injector wires after i put the fpss on it...he mixed the 1-3 and the 2-4 wires...i went for a spin its stronger smoother and feels great...still spin them at 40...woohoo...im goana pull a few plugs this afternoon and look at them now that i put about 20 more miles and 5 wot runs on them...go chage my fpss up a few psi...and might get back into spraying it...
