it all depends if you spray thru the shifts. some have gotten away with it for a few years others a few passes. the best thing to get would be a window switch so you don't spray thru the shifts. ur tranny will last longer that way.

yea, there sould not be much wear on the tranny when u don't spray thru the shifts.

i have had my n2o for about year and everything is running good. i have 116xxx miles right now.

a tune woulf also be a good idea.

Check the trans forums, some say RPM kills the trans long before power level. Read and make a judgement call from there. Personally, I think i'm gonna see how long my stocker will last through my 400RWHP NA motor and a 100 shot on top of that.

but did you have a window switch and the other safety junk? also i heard 3000 to 6000 is the safe rpm zone, so 10mph seems to soon, but i don't know anything lol...im the one asking the dumb questions

The car only has 19k miles on it so everything is mint condition BTW

I use a 4L60E with Trans Go shift kit, Yank SS3600 Stall and 4.10 rear gears turning 10.5x28 slicks with 600+ rwhp on nitrous. I use an FJO Mini Controller to control nitrous. I also change most all my fluids about 5x the normal daily driver pace. Oil 1000 miles, rear end fluid every 6 month, trans fluid at least 2 x year. I'm going to start using Royal Purple Trans fluid instead of GM. So far i'm still tight. Approx 70,000 miles on transmission. 15,000 miles of it was sprayed with 125-225 shot.

SS3600 is a regular Yank converter...I have Nitro Dave's old TH400 in the garage waiting for "the inevitable" I guess...just trying to put off "the inevitable" for lack of 0.7:1 final gear of the 4L60E!!

WINDOW SWITCH !!!

and (as stated) start at 3000. (not 10mph.. LMAO) but your upper limit is 200 rpm BELOW shift point. My A4 shifts at 5800 so I shut it off at 5600. I could set the shift point higher with my programmer but I prefer to keep my car in one piece and if that's what it would take to win that race.. well I lost. (but I can still drive home)
