Default do I need a bigger fuel pump?

I am going with a NXL kig (Nitrous Express Direct Port)
going to be running 80hp shot (maybe 120hp later)

while getting the nitrous installed,
I am also getting my long tubes, cam, and custom tuning done

should I be safe with the stock fuel pump?

what do you guys think about the Walbro 255 lph fuel pump for GTO

thanks in advance guys,

Russ

I would say yes. I'm no where near an expert...but I reckon it would be a good idea.

Also, I think you'll need injectors before you need a fuel pump. In case you want to go more HP down the road, buy 42 or 60 lbs injectors and have the tuner tune them in verses waiting, then having to get a re-tune down the road.

With my current mods, my stock injectors are running at 79% at WOT around 5k RPMs. I've heard that ideally, you should keep them under 80%. I can't imagine that with your current/future setup, you'll be pushing those things to the limit if not beyond.

Upgradeing the pump is a good idea. The NXL kit will demand lots of fuel at one time. No need to upgrade injectors on a wet system......

With the size shot you are running you should be fine with your new fuel pump. However when you tune watch for a lean spike. If there is one you will need to get the fuel accumulater.

Biggest rails out there, and they tend to be hard to keep full at high demand times.

Correct. You are filling a large area at one time that is suppling the motor as well as directport. You are probley fine. But check just to be safe.

Ditto, no need for injectors for the NXL. I had one a long time ago and will say, its one of the cleanest looking installs. As for the lean on 120 I didnt notice it really, using a Walbro intank pump. However, on the 180 I did, and 220 I almost toasted the engine a couple times (I was hard headed about getting it down the track ). If you can later, mount a front mount regulator, larger feed line, and use stock feed as a return you will benefit greatly from this mod....it can be done for about $400 and a couple hours. GL

looks like the "nxl" isnt going on the car,

too much fittment issues (with the ls2)

gonna sell it,
and get the nitro dave's LS2 Plate Wet Kit
just do the 100 pills.

and I found out,
the Walboro isn't a strait drop in on the GTO
I was told to get the LPE one
