Default I have now started my direct port build(NXL)

Thanks to Russ (Krautburner), i have the most bad *** nitrous kit ! thought i would share some pics, and my plans for my nitrous build. ive been reading about using nitrous, originally planning on a simple dry setup, and i couldnt pass up this deal. here is the NXL direct port...
i have my first question: on the opposite sides of the solenoids theres those 8 little red/blue things (no idea what they are..) and it seems like im going to need some kinda lines???????
but here are the pics of everything i got

my car currently has untouched 243 heads, 232/234 .595/.598 112 cam, 90/90 and bolt ons.. and i plan on running the 120 jets..

so this is my build:
1. racetronix plug & play
2. window switch/tps (Nitrous outlet or Dyno tune)
3. bottle
4. fuel psi, nitrous psi, AEM wideband for gauges
5. FPSS
6. fuel accumulator (for the lean spike)
6. bottle heater of some sort(electric or blanket)
7. possibly a remote bottle opener

now im not too sure if im going to get a purge or not.. Russ included some lines for the purge i believe..
ill keep you guys updated on the build, i hope to get this kit up and running by march! at least thats my goal...i think the first thing im going to start saving up for is the bottle and accesories... id appreciate some opinions/suggestions since im NEW with nitrous

120 jets might be too small for a direct port shot. Id run at least 200 on a direct port. The jet holes for a 120 direct port are nearly non-existent with a 58PSI fuel system.

man,
that kit looks familiar

the red and blue things are the fittings for the lines that go from the rail to the injector cups (and jets)
you use the long black (coiled) line
you cut it to length
you use the bag of loose silver fittings to clamp the black line on

Forge it and go 300, or ill trade you my NX wet nozzle kit

Seriously though, since it is your first nitrous system ever, you probably should have went with a simple nozzle system. if you want to run a 120 shot on a direct port kit you want low fuel PSi so the holes on the fuel jets are actually there. That would require a stand alone fuel system for the nitrous.

LOL sounds like a deal!!!, ill be able to let you know how the 120 does in a couple months once i get it tuned

^i understand, but this was a steal and local.. and i was told a fuel accumulator would work well

it comes with 80 - 120 - and 180 jets
I doubt NX would offer it that way if it was "too small for a Direct port"

For what you paid for that you could have just gotten a complete nozzle kit and has $$ left over for other stuff.

Im not knocking the kit, just be careful with it al such a low shot.

The fuel accumulator will just help with keeping up with fuel, it has nothing to do with the jets you will be running. 120 direct port fuel jets will do so damn small @ 58PSI that the slightest fuel impurity will clog the jet, which will destroy that cylinder. Take a look at your 120 fuel jet and you will see what i mean.

as far as the hard lines,
they will look awesome,

but I've read no problems with the black lines.

I also have the NXL kit on my C5, and I actually went with the stainless steel braided lines instead of the black lines. After a VERY short while the black lines will get hardened and will break EXTREMELY easily. Not saying it will happen, just my .02.

As far as the accumulator goes, when you squeeze, the car will still fall on its face for maybe half second, but MUCH better than without an accumulator (little over a second). I will be going with the stand alone fuel system to prevent the fuel loss in the rails.

ok so the stand alone is something i can eventually put in? this is my DD so i was thinking i can get tuning done with an accumulator, im not going to be spraying the crap out of this car.. im on a super budget, and i prob wont have this kit in until i start collecting my parts... i can see this kit getting put in at the (EDIT) beginning of march sometime

Yeah, the accumulator is NX's way of remedying the loss of fuel pressure problem, but the hesitation is still there. So, for me, I will be getting the stand alone fuel system so totally eliminate the hesitation (hopefully)
