Default Mallory 685 or Crane HI-6S CD?

Im going to spray my 95 Z28 with a 100-125 HSW wet Kit when this semester of school is over. Im going to run all the necessary safety equipment but im stuck on what do about the ignition. I like how the mallory has a built in window switch but it doesnt have a 1st gear lockout feature. If I bought the HSW advantage window switch and ran the crane ignition it would be about the same price as the Mallory box but would have 1st gear lockout. What would be the best option?

Also what kinda mph will I be looking at with a bolt-on lt1 and 125 shot? I know my ET will suffer some b/c of traction but since 90% of my races are from a roll im not concerned with ET.

Did you spray through the shifts?

Im pretty sure that I wil do the crane and HSW WS but I want to hear some opinions. If there is someway to keep from spraying in 1st with the 685 I would be excited lol.

I sprayed right off the line and all the way the traps. You got to love sticky tires. I think I personally I'm about to get the mallory 685. Because of the window switch(which I might not use) and the single stage timing retard.

Mallory 685 is nice. Very easy to change settings for all the functions, everythings digital.

Is there a need for the 1st gear lockout? I mean if I get the 685 will that be sufficient? How much timing do I need to pull for a 100-125 shot? I know 2* for every 50hp is safe but 4-5* seems like alot to me.

I did not pull any timing at 150. But I did go back to the stock tune(had HPP).

1st gear lockout isn't needed. Just sticky tires.
Look at it this way, if you can hook 1st on the bottle you will be much faster.
