LS7 Clutch & Nitrous

LS7 Clutch & Nitrous
I'm about to pull the trigger on an LS7 clutch kit, but was wondering how it was holding up for you 100+ shot guys. The stocker can barely handle 375/374 without getting soft on me. Did you need the cylinder slave and pilot baring too? All experiences would be appreciated.
Thanks,
Shane

I got the LS7 clutch and am getting ready for spray. At least on an F-body, I purchased an 02 slave, since my car is a 2000. But you should always do the pilot bearing while your in there. Its literally $5, and a rent-a-tool. Havent sprayed yet, but was wondering the same as you if the clutch would be good. IMO it should be, since I have seen more than one sprayed LS7 vette.

The ls7 clutch can't even handle the stock 450rwhp of the new c6 Z06. So the torque spike of your nitrous hit will likely make short work of the clutch. Cheap is not allways better.

So then why can people spray stock clutches or LS6 clutches, but yet the LS7 just sucks? Maybe you cant spray first gear on a 5K launch, but otherwise I think it should be ok, or am I wrong?

I have heard these clutches get real soft when you start leaving hard with spray! I believe when you start getting the 400rwhp zone it starts getting to be a problem . so most of the people not having troubles either are not making that much poer or leave the line at 3 grand or so ! I would def look into getting something that is a little more sticky and can hold alot more power and the tq curve ! Just my .02$
