Should a brand new nitrous bottle leak when full and not on the car?
I think I already know the fricking answer here, but last week I had my brand new bottle filled, took it home and within one day of sitting on my bench, it was completely empty. What a waste of $45

They were all tight and I would rather not mention brand. I am going to check the bottle over. If there is a issue with the bottle I will see if the company will take care of me. I have bought a ton of stuff from them recently and they are great guys so I am sure this will not be an issue. I just wanted to find out if there was any issues storing a full bottle.

It is safe to store them inside, unless it gets really hot where you're storring it. If it's too hot, it will cause the pressure plate to burst. Like if you store a full bottle in a car, when the sun beams down on it, it will greatly shoot up the bottle pressure and cause this disk to rupture (usually above 2000 psi.)

Have you called Dynotune yet? What'd they say?

if you can find a cheap way of pressurizing it, submerge it in water(bathtub) and see where the leak is coming from. if the bottle leaked in 1 day you should have been able to hear it hissing.

get a 1 1/8" wrench and a small sledge hammer and whack the valve a time or two....i fill alot of nitrous bottles and the new ones ('specially NOS/ZEX) tend to have loose valves...either that or like suggested above, have a pound put in it and build some psi somehow and submerge the bottle....

If you just bought it...contact the seller. I would just recomending checking the simple things that may be your fault (did you install anything such as a gauge in the neck?) and if your pretty sure its not your fault I have the feeling that if it was any of the excellent sponsors here they will take care of you.
If you start banging and taking things apart...they may no longer be able to help you. Contact the seller first.

I agree with all of you. I added a gauge, fpss, and a adapter. I don't remember ever tightening any of it. I just assumed that with the bottle closed it would all seal. When I got it filled it was right at 900 in the morning it was at 300 and I thought maybe the gauge was acting up. I have two and did not think nothing of it. By afternoon it was at 0. I picked it up and it was empty. This was the FIRST time I have ever filled or even seen a full nitrous bottle, so it might just be a $40 leason for me. No big deal. and I am very confident the guys over at Dynotune will take good care of me if it were the bottle.

what's a fpss switch have to do with a sitting bottle?
have you manually opened the valve to see if it will spray nitrous? be careful if you try it and hang onto the bottle. and aim it into open airspace.
i've had a gauge go bad, the small black rubber cover was blown out and oil let out in the car. it read 0 psi but the nitrous was still in there.
weigh your bottle or open it.
