Default PT4000 Converter with 150 Dry Shot. What is a good Kit

I have a PT4000 Converter & going to spray a 150 shot on the car. I know I am at the edge of blowing through the converter. But I have seen 125 shot sprayed on this converter safe with out it going through the converter.

I have 42 lb injectors
Stock Fuel Pump

What is a good kit for this setup that will net me the most ET in the 1/8 mile on this shot.

I am running

TFS 215 Heads
FAST 90/90
Vindicator Camshaft
Stage 3 4L60E Trans
Yank PT 4000 converter
12 Bolt 4.10 gears

What other supporting mods fuel wise can you suggest & what modifications on the Nitrous side do you suggest to get the most ET out of my 150 shot. I am looking to run 6.90s on the motor & try & hit 6.20s on the spray.

As you can tell, I am new to the Nitrous world

im supprised you're running heads/cam/intake/stall/gears on the stock pump.. I would upgrade to at least a walbro 255 or possibly twins. You could always run a dedicated fuel system in the front. a good kit is the nitrous outlet plate kit, it looks awesome and performs well, and it is priced great. You could also use something like an FJO mini controller or other progressive controller and ramp it up pretty quick so you can still launch and not blow through the converter.

Now we are getting somewhere. I like that idea. I am wanting to run a Dry Kit. I like the Dry kits better since I won't be spraying over a 150 shot. Will I still be able to run a Plate Kit on a Dry System & run the Progressive controller.

The guy I bought the car from said the car had a Walbro 255 Intank Pump. But when the Fuel Pump comes on it is not loud like others I have heard. So I am just going to assume on the safe side it is stock. My old setup put down 400 RWHP through my auto & ran consistant 7.20 @ 94 on motor. But I am looking to run on the new motor & Heads & Cam combo some 6.90s on motor & maybe hit 6.20s on the 150 shot. I just want to set my spray up to work at the best ET I can get out of it. So I get the most out of this 150 shot in the 1/8 I can get. I already have a basic Dry Kit. But I want to upgrade to a Nice Dry set up. I already have Bottle Heater & Nitrous Pressure Gauge up front on the pillar & also have a Remote Bottle Opener as well. I still need to get this stuff that I can pass tech like the Blown Down Tube.

Keep it coming on idea's on what a BADASS hard hitting Dry Kit I can create. I don't want the run of the mill kit.

My PT4000 sucked on the spray. I could spray 75, 100, and 150 and only picked up 5 tenths and 5 mph but it was the **** on motor. Good luck.

If ya want to go dry then give Matt at Harris a call/pm, as they offer the best full package for dry hits, and the tuning knowledge to back it up. Check it out, there are few threads going that should help ya out. I vote dry all the way. my problem with progressive controllers is the fact they beat the hell out of your noids. One run is like a full season with out a progressive. If your fuel noid fails your in trouble. If your n2o noid on the dry fails, nothing happens.

I spray my Yank ST 4000. I did have to adjust the shift points for the 150 shot. 100 shot had no problems.

I would definitely suggest the FJO mini controller

your sucess comes from the 3.42 gear. you wont run out of rpm on the big end.

So are you saying if he had a 4.10 gear he would have picked up more ET?

What about this converter with 4.10s & 150 shot of spray. I am just worried about my times on motor. I am looking for 6.9 N/A & 6.20 spray. So stay with the PT4000 4L60E/4L65E
245mm, Stall speed 4000 and 4400, Posi Lock-Up Clutch w/Kevlar Linings, lightweight billet cover, 2.5 STR

or

PRO YANK 3400 EXTREME 4L60E/4L65E
258mm, Posi Lock-Up Clutch w/Kevlar Linings, 6 bolt mounting lugs , lightweight billet cover, 3400 stall, 2.70 STR

Thanks
Seb

I am running a stock 10 bolt with Girdle. But will upgrade to a 12 bolt with gears, was thinking that 3.73s or 4.10 would be good for the 1/8 mile. Trying to get some 6.20s on spray.

Yeah I am wanting to run some 4.10s with 12 bolt & spray the 150 Dry. We will see what happens. You got a PM bro.
