Why is Nitrous considered cheating by so many?

I dont think nitrous is cheating, like said "run what cha brung" . I have my bottle on the trans tunnel, behind the seat. Im getting the Master Blaster purge for intemidation. i have nothin to hide.
Theres a Z28 runnin around town that has his NOS 5177 kit plumbed under the air filter spraying up through 2 little holes in it. bottle in spare tire area. anyways, I think its a pretty cool setup but he lies about it way to much. He raced a buddie with a 200shot on his '70 Nova, got beat then says "you cheated, why did you spray on me?" nova guy says "so what you sprayed, fairs fair" Z28 guy got pissed & tried to start a fight over it claiming he doesnt have "NOS". Thats the only way i see it as cheating, getting mad when some one uses it against you, when you spray on everybody.

Yup, when someones says to me "well you wer on the bottle or sprayin" or "if you didn't have nitrous". I say "It's not my fault you don't have nitrous and leave it at that.

Nitrous is like the Nu Finish of Power adders. It does the job just as well as the other stuff but nobody gives it respect cause its the po boy power adder lol. I still use Nu Finish and nitrous so I guess I have a Po boy shine and a po boy power adder

What u guys with nitrous don't understand is that in real drag racing u race with other cars IN YOUR FREAKIN class. It would be ok if two guys race with the same mods and one wins. But when u guys with nitrous beat a non poweradder car u start to talk ****, when u know u would have lost having the same mods as your nonpoweradder opponent. Now secondly, us non poweradders can say that we will run consistent times even if We would race 100times in one day. While we all know that u nitroous guys will either have to switch bottles or go for a refill. While u are refilling for the next weekend we will still be running the next guy. Any guys from el paso I will be at desert demonz sunday 21st. The blue ss with black fenders.

Its cause I have direct port kit with a progressive controller so I don't get any tq spike when it first comes on, I was suprised myself when I first saw it but if you look at my graph compared to others there is no initial tq spike.
Gotta love the progressive controller, gives a pull almost like a turbo car..wierd. Gramps was the same way on the graph, no spike. Also I have a longer feed line from the n20 noid to the rail, so I have no lean spike either. I made 471/555 to the tires though with a 355 and edeljunk performer RPM's. I myself am a po boy nitrous junky.
we non poweradders would not say anything if u would just not talkshit. Ok u say don't be sore loser I say don't be a sore winner. NOW LET ME SAY THIS. I think i speak for most of us non poweradders when I say that the main reason why we get mad at nitrous guys is because not only do u ALWAYS deny that u guys have nitrous, but when u don't deny it and tell us slower guys that you won't use the nitrous, You end up using it anyways. Now that is why we call it cheating. Most nitrous guys never ever run consistent runs, unless they are timing. the reason for that is because they use only enough NOS to beat you when they are about to get beat.
Its kind of like the same feeling we get when we here about the sc cobra. Its stock right, but to some of us we feel ford is cheating. But thats alright. all this post makes me do is get my headers and front skinnies to finish off all other stock internal-Nosfreaks opponents in El Paso. Our reign will come

I am a pretty open person. Before I read this thread, I never liked N2O, I was the Jag that used those, "oh it's on spray, that's bullshit." Prolly because it was fast and I wasn't and a mod is a mod. afetr reading all three pages, which got tough at the end, LOL, I am retracting all of my negative comments and rude remarks I ever said!
A mod is mod. I now don't see the difference in a guy spending $500 on jet-hot LT's or $500 on a 100 shot. LOL, bang for buck, N2O kicks ***! I will say, driving my car how it is, and spending 500 on a kit and run what it would would be hella fun at the track!
I will say yay for spray, but I still say pray and spray because I am a noob with N2O.
