Talking Dynoed today. 427hp, 600ftlbs torque

So today I finally got my wifes 98 convert ls1 m6 dynoed. For $50 I got 3 pulls.

I will post the dyno sheet and some pics as soon as possible.

All motor 308 hp/317ftlbs
175 wet shot 427hp/604ftlbs
200 wet shot 356hp/576ftlbs

For the 200 shot I think I either ran out of fuel or spun on the dyno I really don't know yet. And if someone can tell me why the torque is so high I would appreciate it.

Mods:
Home ported throttle body
255 fuel pump
Granatelli MAF
SLP Intake
Off road Y pipe
Muffler delete
Oil catch can
Air Delete
NX Wet shot

Those are awesome torque #'s for your mods. Those #'s are way off on the 200 shot. Think the clutch night have been slipping?

119 HP gain from the 175 shot? That doesn't seem right. Maybe the clutch was slipping on that one too. I wouldn't go over a 50 or maybe 75 shot until you're ready to buy a new clutch. At least thats what I'm gonna do.

Something doesnt look right at all. Do you have graphs showing A/F?? Your tq numbers are high because when N2O hits you get an instant hit of torque, its usually a false peak. If you had the graphs we could explain a little better.

Nitrous torque is crazy! I just got my numbers yesterday i'll make a thread about it later.
I would drop down to a 100 shot until you figure out whats going on.

You may be a little fat on your a/f, and this can increase torque and decrease power. I had over 300lbs ft of torque increase on a 175 dry hit, so that's normal. The guy who said false torque spike is wrong, check out the dyno graph of the 300tq increase (636rwtq on stock motor), false my azz. If your motor and drivetrain can take it, the low rpm torque is what cut's you a nice 60'er and we all know how important a good 60 is for the overall ET. Anyway, a good tune/logging session should pin point any issues.

Yeah I am gonna have to go and get it tune, if I can get my scanner to work then I can show you what the torque spike looks like, it is similar to the one you posted.
But yesterday I took it to the track, and 14 at 102 na, in the second run I sprayed at the end of 1st, all trough second, and I went to 5th by accident, next thing I know, nos blowout. My RPMs dropped below 3 and I was still spraying.
So now the car does not idle by it self, but the map sensor in the back of the intake was blown away, placed it back and it still wont idle. Do I have a mechanical or electrical problem

That's why a window sw is a good idea. Anyway, when I had a back fire the MAP blew off but so did the back of the intake. Does your idle go high and stay high? Sounds like you may have more than just a blown out MAP, check for cracks or broke pieces.

I'm sure your MAF is fried too and thats not going to help your idling issues either.

Hey Robert, when i mentioned the spike i was more reffering to the converter flashing in an automatic, which i wasnt sure if the original poster had. I can see that you are a 6 speed and didnt have that problem. After seeing the results it looks like there was something very wrong with the tune.

Anyhow man hopefully you get it back up and running again. Sorry to hear about the blow out at the track.
