Default Aluminum Tubing for purge outlets vs stainless.

Anybody know where I can get 1/8" aluminum tubing sections to make my nitrous purge outlets? It's just easier to work with than stainless (I think).

Aluminum is fine for open ended lines, like the purge.

I tried Lowe's and Home Depot for the copper tubing abd they don't carry 1/8" copper tubing ... 1/4" is as small as they go. Maybe I'll have to go that route. I'm really wnating aluminum tubing to make it look a little cleaner. Anybody know who online sells 1/8" aluminum tubing staights? Some of the nitorus sites carry the stainless, but, I think it might be hard to work with or I'd go that route. Any suggestions?

Advance or Autozone should carry a kit to hook up a mechanical oil pressure guage that has a little spool of 1/8" copper tubing, that's what I always use. It also has a few fitting with it. I believe it's around $9.00

i just used metal brake line. use an adapter from the solenoid to the brake line, then just bent the line and out the cowl. shoots a nice big plume, gets the fluid to the solenoid quick too.

i know they sell aluminum tubing off a roll at napa auto parts. careful though napa's not the cheapest on anything so price them.

BTW where did you get that clear lid? i have seen clear lids but not from SLP...

We keep 1/8 and 1/16 alluminum tubing instock. We cut off of large rolls so we can cut it to the length you need. We usualy flare one end and install a B-nut and sleeve this way you can screw it strait to a AN fitting. Makes for a nice clean look and seal.

Does it matter whether I run the outlets from the bottom , or, from the side of the purge ... so long as the other hole is plugged?

Jack,
The side port is a free flowing port. The exit is out of the bottom of the solenoid.

just make sure to have the tubing securely fastened because aluminum tends to crack when it vibrates too much.
