safe to spray?
ok i am pissed because i am getting a spark knock past 4500 rpm on a basicly stock motor with bolt ons. i just put a tnt f1 100 wet shot on there and i cant spray till i fix it!!! i alway put 93 octane and synthetic oil . it should do this!! it stops if i put like 100+ octane but it shouldt be like this ....so how do i fix it so i can spray and also would it to be safe to spray if i have the 100+ racing fuel or do you think this would just bring the spark knock back because of all the added pressure.

If your that worried about 400 bucks in this hobby, you've gone down the wrong road!
A tune is probably going to be the single best thing you could do to your car. Without one at this point, your working on putting holes in your pistons. If the car has never had one, you'll pick up from a motor tune. then they'll probably take 4 degrees of timing out for a 100 shot. Theres a good chance your car will be faster with the "nitrous tune"...
You also need someone to make sure the car is not running too lean on the bottle... which would be the tuner....

you really should get that thing on a dyno and see what its doin. $400 bucks is a small price to pay for piece of mind. like the old saying goes...pay me $400 now or pay me $5K+ later when something serious happens. find a sponsor near you and talk to them...most basic bolt on tunes now a days are around $200 bucks or so. goodluck with it.

I always run a wide-band gauge & keep my A/F at 11.7 or real close also went with TR6 plugs but now running one step colder on a 2 stage 100 hp & stage two 50 hp. I also have a MSD Timing Twister so you can adjust timing plus or minus for motor runs & it is adjustable to pull what ever timing you want with nitrous activation. I always use NX nitrous octane booster. The above will keep you safe. Cut corners & it will cost you. I also run 2 bottles into a y-fitting 6 an to the front with adjustable bottle heaters so my pressure stays stable every run at about 1050 psi. LOL

1500 bucks...
Is that normal? Guess it depends on what all you get, but, damn! I cringe at all the labor charges tho too... Goodness!
Go down the sponsors list, you'll find a few in texas, you could post in the tuning/diagnostics forum too, lots of guys on the board tune or will know where you could go...
